Gainako's Humor: Three Smart Fellows

Three smart fellows! The King of Nema summoned to a great contest, to be well attended by all his fellow kings, friends and residents of town. Ah waye! The winner will marry the beautiful daughter of the King -Princess Bintouchagal. The King's deciples blew the drum, locally 'tablah.' The town and its neighboring cities echoed aloud and people rushed to the competition ground which is by the great smiley Atlantic Ocean. According to the rules of the contest, contestants must utilize the Atlantic Ocean inorder to show their greatness which is a qualifying measure to winning.

Contestant A has a tobacco pipe; B has a gun loaded with bullet and C has a cutlass.

Before the contest began, the towns' griots sang in praise the King's magesty, the beautiful princess -Bintouchagal, accompanied by special drums resembling the wrestling competitions. Of course here, people compete to win -the pride of marrying the King's daughter and all the pleasure that comes with marrying a chaste princess is just so much to let loose. Ah waye!

CONTEST BEGAN:

Contestant A twisted around 360 degrees and poured all the water from the Atlantic Ocean into a small tobacco pipe, walked gently to the other side of the bank without drowning, and thereafter returned the water back. Ah waye!

Before the roar of the handclapping faded in thunder-echoes, contestant B jumped from his seat, fired his bullet from the gun, and rode on the bullet to the other side of the bank. Ah waye!

Contestant C couldn't wait any longer so he took his cutlass and stroke the water with it. He created a clear walk-way path and crossed to the other bank before the water returned back. Ah waye!

Imagine yourself in the midst of this honorable gathering and putting yourself in the position of a contest observer, who do you think is the winner?

Thanks, and a blessed sunday to all our readers.

Given the intensity of the competition all these three guys did wonderful deeds, which by my reckoning makes them superhuman, I cannot at this point though give any of them a header over the other so will give this a pass, brother. I can of course chose one of my choice based on personal liking and take the one who fired a bullet and rode on it to and fro.Surely brother I sincerely do not know the answer to this one. An interesting story which made me dizzy trying to crack it open for a solution. Perhaps I am getting rusty up there ;ahem ! Thanks for the story any way.

Bro kani,

thanks for engaging your brain so hard.

Let us use the if clause ---

If all three won, then polyandry...Oops! just kidding!

From my own, just like you....I think all men are great.

Rgds,

Dalton, did you mean beat the drum or "blew the drum" (SECOND LINE OF YOUR POST)? .
I think we used to tell this story when we were kids. It sounds similar to the one by Tulu diya sulay, Nya diya sulay, and Bulu jang sulay. Great mind teaser! Thanks buddy.

Bro Kay,

Perfectly put as "beat." here is how I got it wrong…instead of the drum, the flute is blown, so my choice of words went wrong. Thanks for the rectification, and my apologies. That's the problem with direct translation from local languages to english , french, etc…

Kind regards,
D..
