hi there, can anyone advise I am preparing to send a box of goods to banjul, i have done this before, for the past two years, I have heard from my shipping agents that there is a problem with banjul. Can anyone shed light on this. Are the troubles that have been happening starting to trickle down to other departments. I will keep my fingers crossed tht this matter is a rumour. My agents always uses a licenced handling agent in Banjul, goods always got through. A few delays due to the ship being delayed, or a bank holiday in gambia, but i got the goods.

Perhaps you should inform us what problems yours shipping agents are facing in Banjul since you seem to be a rumour mill here. I sent some things in a container from Europe but they were all received yesterday without any problem. I have also made bank transfers to Trust Bank for the custom duty fees and the money arrived within three bank days. |

galo, hi there, as soon as they let me know i will tell you all they said was they are having problems, wtih banjul. I called them today, so only got the news today. I am keeping my fingers crossed it can be resolved, but affects my taking goods to the depot, as they said I should wait until they have more news before bringing my goods. that is why i asked for news from people in gambia. If you hear anything let me know. I have sent money ok, last hiccup was due to a bank holiday and the banjul office was closed, but that is okay now. Also i did not intend it to be a rumour mill!!, not to sure when you sent your goods, but mine have not been sent, trying to send them. |

My boxes of goods are due to be shipped by 17th may, fingers crossed, I used to pay an adminstration fee to the shipping agents in Banjul, and then pay my taxes when the boxes had been inspected at the port. Is this still the same situation. |

If the shipping agent is in New York and his name is WALLY, dont ship with him, I shipped car with shortly before I when to Gambia he told me it will only take 3 weeks for my uncle to receive my car, but 3 weeks turn 3 1/2 months so be CAUTIOUS, this is my advice to anyone that intends to ship a vichicle, ask all the questions you can.
