American Anti-Slavery Group says, Most distressing is the silence of the American media whose reports counted for so much in the battle to end apartheid in South Africa. Only recently and thankfully so have mainstream black organizations such as the Congressional Black Caucus and the NAACP taken a stand against chattel slavery in Mauritania and Sudan. At one time Minister Louis Farrakhan simply denied that brother Muslims could perpetrate such an injustice, but now he’s quietly accepted the evidence. Jesse Jackson remains silent. What so ever reasons.
But are not some of them also there(like some community in the Gambia) who still want to stay as slave because of some little advantage they will get...(no other alternatives)? we know there are some new generations who hates to call them S. but still parents are keeping it alive like some hundred yrs back, though they are not force to do so maybe just traditionally, but there is a dangers for encouraging the slavery more?
But what about those being forced to do so as in the case of Mauritanian or Sudan.
I ready a book some years back called "Women and slavery in Africa"
There you can see once more how all this horrific is twisting amongst us, It most be STOPED NOW!.
The biggest crime in humans history is still ringing in very face of the world but still neglecting by the responsible peoples! this is more than any war crime or alike!!!
The Anti-Slavery Group reports that the world’s worst human rights violations are suffered by thousands of blacks in the Sudan and Mauritania. The punishments given to "uppity" slaves include “tortures of medieval proportions, all too graphic to describe,”
What a shame for humanity!!!

Wow I nievely didnt know that? Better Education and awareness is called for. Why are so many countries willing to turn a blind eye??? We all live in this world together and be more wiling to help those in need.

"Religion is an insult to human dignity. Without it you'd have good people doing good things + evil people doing evil things but for good people to do evil things it takes religion"- Richard Dawkins
