The Gambian Constitution
Part 7: Political Parties 60 (7) A registered political party shall not receive any contribution or donation to its expenses or otherwise from any person who is not a citizen of The Gambia, or from any corporate or unincorporated body.
How will NADD overcome any repercussions of money donated from ‘Fundraising for NADD in Minnesota’ Or am I looking at this incorrectly?

Ofcourse you are , remember it is the citizens of the Gambia living in mininsota who are going to contribute to make up this fund,so unless you are able to identify any foreign involvement, there is nothing unconstitutional about this. |

My brother, this is constantly being violated by the APRC. Funding came from Abacha, Libya and Taiwan in Millions of dollars in 1996! Also from Taiwan again in 2001. Anyhow, this (rule 60 (7) )was meant for the opposition who are suspected of being supported (funding) from NGOs, and other Embassies in the country....it is, as usual, a rule made to oppress the opposition and protect further the interests of Jammeh....as usual. Greetings Momodou, unfortunately I do not have it. The part I made reference too came from your old forum; posted by Sister Omega 17th July 2005 The Gambian Constitution, I printed it off then.
Thank's Dembish & OBI, yes I am aware of the previous tactic's of funding, and of course the non existent facility for those living in the Diaspora to make their vote at the forthcoming election.
