Babylon I actually enjoyed reading the OP again the rest for me is irrelevant, but may I point out you also missed the fact that most pseudo-intellects sleep eat and whatever else with their trusted thesaurus in hand. but please do not discount them they work very hard indeed. As for the age thing I remember a topic a few years ago where one of my sons was asked to write a piece about becoming old. Much to my dismay he had written that by the time he reached 40 he would probably be dead because that was very very old ekkkkkkkkkkk im now 2 years over that very very old status and I think im a yummy mummy lol. Remember forty is the old age of youth; fifty the youth of old age. ~Victor Hugo
I also am a fan of Dr Jays though they still dont stock the House of Dereon grrrrrrrr
Hahahaha I think you must be the coolest cat around here!
That Victor Hugo quote sounds positive. I was the same as your son, when I was 15 I thought 20 is kinda old. When I was 24 I felt really old and thought 30 is as old as dinosaur! I never wanted to turn 30, had a great big depression the year before that. Now that I am 31 I feel quite young afterall, I feel quite the same as when I was in my 20´s... But to think I will turn 40 soon is a horrific thought. I know all the members who are 50-something are rolling their eyes thinking I´m ridiculous but ageing is really scary to me. I do not look forward to it at all. Sometimes I think I´d rather die than turn 50...
Oh well.. I guess things change in time, maybe I will change my mind later.
I did see some Dereon clothes at dr.Jays, here is the direct link:
http://www.drjays.com/shop/G1-V56255-R375/dereon.html
Thank you perhaps I should change my name to Ghetho Princess .
I hated the thought of turning 30 i've never suffered from depression but think that was the closest in fact I didnt really enjoy my 30s full stop, but 40 was sooooooo liberating I just stopped giving a s**t. Dont like the clothes I wear dont look dont like the music i play dont listen lol. I dont know what it is life seems more settled in my 40s Its now more about my needs and wants not pleasing the masses you gain a new confidence and im loving it. Dont forget 40s is the new 30 lol . Not sure about 50s though ive not met many funky 50 year olds they seem more sensible than me but maybe that's the process of calming down. Thanks for the link im in heaven now though the bank managers gonna get stressed lol hmmm a jumpsuit and a couple of pairs of jeans so far whooooo hoooo |

I agree Madiba, if this is the case than all my posts that have had links to sources are also plagiarised as they have not been referenced correctly.
So these are not examples of good practice.
While i'll agree sometimes it is useful to read the source /article etc of a quoted passage to accuse posters of plagarisim of a forum is a little extreme.

I had been 20 for ten years. Now I will have been 30 until I am 40. Or until 50.
My mom tell me women get mature quicker than men. It is always better men at least 5-6 years older, if man and woman similar age, women feel like the partner too immature.

Really, all this talk about who is a "real" intellectual is ridiculous! What is this a brain competition? Who´s got the real vs false intellect? Big deal...
I wrote (well COPIED) this text to show you the absurdness in making differences between peoples intellects. Everybody are smart in their own way, there is no need to measure intelligence because there are different kinds of intelligence. It is a respons to Lurker who did call me a pseudo intellectual, a fake intellectual. I am flattered really because I never thought of myself as any sort of Intellectual... I am just a regular big mouthed person, a mum, a wife and working woman who never went to the uni. I am also an artist.

Babylon Iknow many an educated fool .
Because someone has studied at university, means naff all in the real world. Its not the level of education you receive, but what you do with your knowledge than in my mind determines your level of intellect. You don't strike me as someone whoses easily intimidated you certainly don't run with the crowd I respect that, and being a 'good' parent is the hardest job in the world no level of schooling prepares you for that. |

Babylon, please keep the work on.
Many are doing the same, or even worst! What makes different between borrowing idea from some one (greeting from Hollywood) and putting a copy from some one here? While we all know that it is easy to google it? .browning ideas is hiding point which some time not easy to google(?)
In fact he never translated it that this work was from him and no self declarations in, what is your point?. If you don’t like it why don’t you simple disappear and leave it alone. Those spreading their wings and claws out again here should know better that they can augured by with their all right, but have no right of condemnation! , In which type of power and perspectives are they haven, a kind of dictatorship? You may can in privately, but please not public place like here in Bantaba. We are not in Kindergarten!
But those actors as Hollywood stars, who are not speaking in their own voice (favour) but in others, are generally like the saying goes „perspective-less persons will not have enough to feed themselves, but many more to tell"
Babylon, Keep the vibe flow.

My blood boiled as I read a particular response to Babylon's bit of copy and paste. I utterly despise those "Roast Breadfruit", who are always trying to put down their own. The nature and structure of Babylon post made it obvious that it was borrowed material designed to ridicule some, or a particular "intellectuals" on this forum. While technically correct, it was crude, vindictive and hateful to label Babylon as a thief, while pretending it to be friendly banter. Make no mistake, that is what the accusation amounted to and were I in Babylon's shoe i would be extremely offended to the point where I would want to give that particular "Roast Breadfruit" a piece of my mind, feet and hands.
This site purport democracy and freedom of speech I am a Black Jamaican!!!!! European definition. I am a Jamaican African!!!!!!!! My Definition. As such, I hate when those Black, low self esteem individuals, who engage in self aggrandizement, albeit subtly, who also relish the accolades of them being accomplished Intellect, yet all I see them do is grovel and pander to those whom they feel friendship can carry some rewards. I can't help it, I just despise people like that.I will never dilute my thoughts to please. Note: A Roast Breadfruit is a Jamaican Adjective describing a Black Person who is only Black on the outside. |
