Hyena and Uncle Hare decided, during a famine to go to seek food for their wives. Uncle Hyena left but found only old women skins d' animals. Uncle Lièvre left him too. He went a long time, a long time and finishes by „rencontrer" a tree. He stopped under his shadow and said to the tree, Tree, that your shadow is fresh! – Tree replied .You tasted my shadow but not yet tasted my sheets. Then Hare took a sheet and tasted it. - Tree, that your sheets are good! - You tasted my sheets but not tasted my bark. Hare took an end of the bark and put it in its mouth. He says. Tree, that your bark is good! Tree replied. You tasted my bark but not yet this there in my belly. Rabbit ask how to have some, If you say " dunwari" , I m' will open. And If you say " dunxicci" , I will close myself. Hare known as " duwaara". Then tree opened. He entered and ate and drinks. When he was satisfied, he took a food and brought it back to his wife. Once of return to the village, Hare called to Uncle Hyena and tell him about a tree he had eaten .Hyena was eager to get there too. Shows me where you found this tree. He asks the hare. I will go in my turn tomorrow morning. They left the following day, hare showed the way: - You will walk; will walk just to reach this tree over there. You will stop below by saying „how your shade is good! ". Hyena walked with big hope and asks the tree in question just as hare do. But as he come to the end just as hare made ,He say " dunwari" it open then he enter also ate, and drunk. When he wants to leave he repeat, " dungicci" and tree was closed again. Hyena says to itself then: „Ah! If I will had some' for me to help to carry this tree! „ you need not of a carrier, I can help myself .Hyena s' carried out then put l' tree on his head and l' carried to the village. While arriving, he called: - Siya! Siya. i brought back something of the bush! Come m' to help to remove me from this burden! Siya came but does not succeed. Well! Tell people to come! He says. She called people but they did not succeed too. well! Call half of the village! Half of the village came but everyone failed. All the village Calls! - The whole village moved but in vain. Hyena remained crushed under the weight of the tree. It ends up dying about it. Then tree left and turned over to its place. I give the tale where I have.

Hasen nahmen ein Ende der Barke und setzten es in seinen Mund ein. Er sagt. Baum, diese Ihre Barke ist gut! Baum geantwortet. Sie schmeckten meine Barke aber nicht schon diese dort in meinem Bauch. Kaninchen fragen, wie man einiges hat, wenn Sie " sagen; dunwari" , I m' öffnet sich. Und wenn Sie " sagen; dunxicci" , Schließe mich ich. Hasen bekannt als " duwaara". Dann Baum geöffnet. Er kam herein und aß und Getränke. Als er erfüllt war, nahm er eine Nahrung und holte sie zurück zu seiner Frau. Einmal von der Rückkehr zum Dorf, erklären die Hasen, die zum Onkel Hyäne benannt werden und ihm über einen Baum, den er gegessen hatte. Hyäne war eifrig, dorthin auch zu kommen. Zeigt mir, wo Sie diesen Baum fanden. Er bittet um die Hasen. Ich gehe in meine Umdrehung morgen Früh. Aber während er zum Ende kommt, gerade während die gebildeten Hasen, er " sagt; dunwari" es geöffnet dann kommt er aß auch herein, und getrunken. Wenn er ihn lassen möchte, wiederholen Sie, " dungicci" und Baum wurde wieder geschlossen. Hyäne sagt zu sich dann: „Ah! Wenn ich jemand haben konnte der damit ich helfe, diesen Baum zu tragen! „, das Sie nicht von einer Fördermaschine, ich benötigen, kann sich helfen. Hyäne s' durchgeführtes dann gesetztes l' Baum auf seinem Kopf und l' getragen zum Dorf. Beim Ankommen, benannte er: - Siya! Siya. ich holte zurück etwas des Busches! Anrufhälfte des Dorfs! Hälfte des Dorfs kam, aber jeder fiel aus. Alle Dorf Anrufe! - Das vollständige Dorf verschoben aber vergeblich. Hyäne blieb unter dem Gewicht des Baums zerquetscht. Sie beendet über sie oben sterben. Dann verließ Baum und drehte sich zu seinem Platz um. Ich gebe die Geschichte, in der ich habe. Es ist ab und zu malt gut sich zu erinnert an die anderen.

| Hyena is known to be ever so greedy , and folk tales about this abound , thanks bro for this story, i really enjoyed reading it and it reminded me of the tales by my aunt , good bed time stories for us kids then. |

Yes these are those old days i love to remember, when grandma us to trap us around wood fire by piling out her groundnuts shell, telling us so many beautiful stories until almost midnight, some time that our mums getting angry with grandmas for keeping us so late wake, but as you know "Kids and adventure" is always adventure.

Exactly Bo,
From grandma, aunt, uncle or just one passing by, that has some for kids to highlight them. As bo Santa said, Those were well known to almost every child from upper side. If that is chameleon and monkeys, the dragons, or the 7 head sneak, were all welcoming in that our unknowing world, if it was just a fantasy is another, but every one was electrify of it. And one has to get some stories for the next day when (kids) meet on the way going or back from work. This was just like one coming from (Gretebeh?) at Banjul cinema.
