1. Never disagree with Lang Tombong Tamba even if it means him appointing Paul Put as Head Coach of the Scorpion, whose dodgy record include a history of match fixing scandals. As ex-military i guess you know the drill: "yes sir"(marr taat).
2. Never speak to the independent media for if you do then it will be processed in the Emperor's paranoia ravaged brain cells as a "snitch" who feed lies to the Freedom Newspaper.
3. If ever a bloke called Professor Karikari calls about certain misgivings on your part, tell him you are suffering from acute diarrhoea and need to see Dr Mbowe immediately. Tell him to put his enqiury in writing and you will get back to him instantly. If he does write, put it in the shredder straight away and forget he ever exist. This "illegitimate son of Africa" is after the Emperor's head.
4. Begin all your public speaches with praises for the Emperor first and foremost, then God and then blah, blah, blah...... in that order. Any other order is a treasonable offence.
5. Attend all public functions especially where the Emperor is present.
6. Never wear Western styled suits in public for this is an abomination and an eye sore in the Emperor's presence. Stick to your Grand Boubou, Khaftan, "Three Abdou" and Daba Kurto. If you need a favor from the Emperor and badly need to get his attention, then don an Arrmumin with the long head scarf beneath a cap.
7. Find a nickname/cliché that is synonymous to your name, like ACTION MAN.
8. Never restrict access to your office to to any APRC Yai/Bai Compins for you will be accused of being an opposition sympathizer if you ever do.
9. Always curse the opposition for having "no interest of the Gambia at heart".
10. Find a notable opposition figure like Ousainou Darboe, Halifa Sallah or Hamat Bah to always pick on. Cling onto every word that comes out of their dirty mouths and fire back with venom.

Does Gomez really need those survival kits? I doubtit, he knows wat he's getting into and if he didnt like the status quo he would have declined the offer like many others. Gomez knows wat am talking abt. Was he not overlooked at one point in the NYSS? Or Maybe he didnt have the right papers then. A former soldier boy, he must have crossed paths with the powers that be .
If i were to be appointed to serve in any senior capacity from the lowest to the peak e.g Minister, i will do it as i see fit, but never to be muzzled. You see there is no safer ground than having a trade/profession which to go back to in dignity if ever hell breaks loose between you and Mansa Jammeh.
Anyway Shaka i know its out of luv for the man that you drafted those saftey rules.

You bet! I love my brethren. Unfortunately "marr taat" is right there in one of the paragraphs your appointment letter in the Jammeh regime(don't dig too much into it). You would be crazy not to "marr taat". If you drank too much Kaana to garner enough Dutch courage to stand up to some of the ills of this regime, you will sobber up quick in Mile Two. Let's call a spade a spade. Trying to be a saint in the Jammeh cabinet is a treasonable crime. You either satisfy the emperor's rationale (which at best is childish or paranoia induced) or you are seen as someone plotting evil against the regime. You shouldn't be surprised that the first people plotting your downfall are your supposive confidants and collegues, who understand that their survival is dependent on how much you can bend the rules and not their professional competence. Unfortunately a saint is not welcome in this circle. Any honorable resignation or exit from this regime is via Mile Two. You cannot concentrate power into the hands of one man and expect sanity from that regime.quote:

 lol , there are many phrases like this in English such as German Measles , French Leave (from work), Indian Summer etc. i dont think the intention is to be negative.... perhaps they just taking the mickey.
French leave basically means dodging.
reminds me of high school english text books such as First Aid. |

| It does not have to be on the DO for it to be official. All I am saying is that until we can independently verify the story it is a little bit premature...The report could be a rumour. We need to excercise a little bit of caution and restrain. It is not unusual in Gambia for people to be appointed to positions and fired even before they take the oath. |
