Greetings Everyone

An interesting topic.

Westernization doesn't equal Post modernisation therefore in relation to Gambia it is important that Gambia finds solutions for its needs. By developing a social infrastructure that will be sustainable and prosperous for its people. Modernity is healthy for a nation when it can look inside itself to find solutions for its challenges and respond with appropriate strategies instead of constantly looking at the west for solutions to its problems.Gambian needs to nurture and evolve its own vision of modernity not be overly influenced by westernization. Just look at the social decay of individualism which has undermined and underpinned spurred on by power and greed. Gambia needs to use its resources more sensibly and the media could be used to better effect than at present. Gambian could learn a lot from the East in connection to this. Modernization is not a western phenomena it is a Global one, and there is not only one model to choose from Africa can utilize its human resources, natural resources to build a model that is sustainable for Post Modernity generations.

bro kay, when i talked about using slang i don't mean it in a general way. what i meant is when two gambians are convasing, it is better they stick to gambian mediums. i use a bit slang but that is to people other than gambians. also the effect of using the americanise slang in banjul continues to foster the semester cancer. if our pride is central to what we can generally identify with, ie every day language, a sydrome of semester will greatly be eliminated. no research to substantiate my claims but the mindset is some thing we can work on. you made me laugh with your arab stuff comment. i dress more like malians kay. the waranbas i wear are usually malian from france or hausa style. yes, i dress islamic but that in code. meaning the lenght of my trauser should be above the angle, nice perfume, non-alcaholic mostly egtian musk.humility in dress.
sister o , have you attended the roots this year?

I wasn't talking specifically about your dress, but may be anything. Just anything at all...
