These road construction workers go on strike.

According to reliable sources, more than two hundred employees of the Kharafi Road and construction Company working on the Soma Mandina-Ba Highway have, on Monday, 5 May, 2008, began an indefinite sit down strike pending the addressing of their grievances. The striking Kharafi workers, which include Surveyors, Earth Workers and Constructors, commenced their strike by marching on foot from Bwiam to Kanfenda, in the Foni Kansala District, where their station is located.
