This is one of the most heinous crimes ever committed against African immigrants trying to use the dangerous route only to escape into Europe via Spain...........

Well said Bev, Either we act like we don't know what it takes to be competitive in a globalized world or simply because we are just plain followers and parasites............................................................Peace

If you are working for yourself as a fish seller or farmer or whatever working 7 days a week is fine if thats what you want to do. Many self employed people in Uk work very long hours. But it brings financial reward to the person doing the work.

The difference is when you work for someone else. THEY are reaping the profit from your work, your wage remains the same. The poor and the weak need protection from ruthless employers. Laws need establishing and enforcing.

diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices.

OK turk, point taken,South Africa is Africa no disputing that but thankfully its not Gambia, and as far as I am aware no "foreigners"have been attacked in this way, however there is definatly animosity against many Nigerians in Gambia,OK a little off the point I know as Nigerians are not toubabs!

Whoever is the victims, the link show there is a link between economic factors and attitudes towards non-citizens.

Yes well said there is a very distinct link,if you have limited food and resorces and many foreigners come and try to take them then there is a very good chance of conflict.
