| this is worrying, people should start asking questions, i thought the new minister for tourism was doing well. as for the others, people will judge them accordingly they have been in their positions for a long time. |

| This is so serious, it isn't funny anymore! Granted the constitution gives him the power to hire and fire people at will, he is taking it way too far. |

I do hope that gamibans in the disapora are getting the message to gambians at home what is going on. I do think something will snap soon. these are troubling signs for Gambia and its people. When I read news like this, I watch carefully for who is waiting to step in. Not just gambians but look at other countries who are buying businesses and being given licences to trade. THE SIGNS ARE ON THE WALL, but are people reading them. |

Jambo
For a long time, it has always been this same picture being projected on the wall for concerned persons to see not just Gambians. Some crack heads considered it as blanket jokes. We have all come this far now and what was a sketch is now a material structure of things at hand. For things to grow this wild, there is little surprise. The flags have been raised high enough and for long. It is not sensible that a whole nation risks allowing someone of Yahya Jammeh's disposition to continue wrecking the nation. What is different now to what has always been posted on this very plaform? Until this day, we still have people who insist that THE MAN CREATURE is fit to ruin Gambia because he fought a bloodless July 22 Revolution to super impose a brutal dictatorship in whatever name. Where are the Die Hards? Will you respond to Jambo! |

Karamba, without getting to HIGH ON THIS, i ONCE ASKED THIS QUESTION, WHO COULD TAKE OVER GAMBIA. remember a few years ago a "attempted" coup and the missing bodies, DO NOT BE MISLED, that could happen again. I do wonder if a certain person is not making plans to abdicate/leave/allow the country to be overthrown. TO THE EDUCATED/GAMBIANS/AND INTERESTED PARTIES. look at the missing words, look at who is leaving the country and ask why. everything is done within a 24 hour period. ASK WHY. Look at who has been promoted to UN look who is ambassador to India, these are far from home countries, if you cannot kill your enemies/debtors, then get rid of them by sending them abroad. PEOPLE SHOULD ASK QUESTIONS, but they will not. HERE IS THE BIG QUESTION, the president went to the USA for the birth of his son , He went Dakar for the Muslim convention, sow for personal reasons he will travel aboard and far away, NO PROBLEM he is not afraid to travel, BUT HERE IS THE MAIN QUESTION NO-ONE ANSWERED. WHY did he not go to EU-LISBON for the Africa treaty summit last year, or to CHOGM in UGANDA to meet with other commonwealth countries. DID HE GO TO AU SUMMIT IN JANUARY 2008? WHY NOT, people should ask these question to each other on this website and others.

True, true, Jambo
You have very pertinent questions posted on the notice board. The man is simply selfish and wicked. He is taking advantage of a broken system; a situation he conveniently created to suit his unfaithful cheating mechanism of everyone of us. The big truth is, there is no law in Gambia or a proper system deserving anything other than a name. Certainly this is not sustainable and bound to collapse. Like earthquakes, with no warning, no preparedness. In our case, all signs are there for everyone to see. The fat elephant under our bed is threatening to turn things up side down. We have the strength perhaps not so much will to prevent the catastrophe. When the whole nation plunges into the hallow, it is for all to endure.
Changing facing without the matching competence is not going to work for us. Posting ambassadors at far away lands is just a scheme of corruption devised by this club of bandits who think they are free to rob a nation shamelessly. We are much closer to the ship wreck than many may be accepting. The monster a whole nation ignored for long is now ready to swallow everything and everybody. Matters are beyond sensational politics. Your observations are real and sensible. |
