One day two dockers were busy unloading a shipment of goods at the Banjul Wharfs and they each decided to steal something which they can either use after work or sell off. They were a Bamabara man and a Badibounka. well the Bambara stole a clock and hid it in his big chaya a baggy flowing trouser and continued working. His colleague saw a hen and he too grabbed one which he surreptitiously hid in his big caftan. After work they were just walking past the security gates when the clock inside the bambara man's trouser got triggered to alarm and what a sound it made. without much ado the security guard decided to search every one. Before they got to him the Bambara man decided to pull a fast one saying that for the Bambara male when its five o' clock their trousers do alarm. that made every one start to laugh and so eventually he was striped and the clock was discovered.He was arrested for stealing and the others were released .As they trouped past the office door an egg rolled out of the caftan of the Bandibounka and broke to pieces. He tried to run away but was also grabbed. When questioned about the egg he too said that his family also do lay eggs when they mature but on searching him the hen was found wrapped inside the caftan.Boy on seeing these I fled away like a rat what a day!
