lets assume Clinton wins, like her husband she will be taking over from another Bush that went to War in the Gulf. perhaps by the time she does her two terms in 2016, one of the Bush twins or Bush's Florida brother would be 'ripe' to take over. Mind you Chelsea is learning a lot from Mum & Dad. i wonder when is her turn?

Oh Mighty GOD please don't let it happen again, The World had ENOUGH of this kind!

kay, thanks for that scholarly and frank analysis .this is why i read bantaba. no matter what difference of opinion we have ,still we learn from one another. keep head your high ,indeed you are learned.
similarly ,democracy was evolving with time .i hope Madam Anna can shed some light on how the democracy of the Neatherlands evolve. there was democracy in the u.s during the civil movement ,it just wasn't inclusive. people make democracy .just like we have back in the dragon's den ,the man yahya is the democracy .the oppossion are just some neasance to him. period.

njucks, I am going to be become a hermit, what a thought

"she will not bring any change. she tried to push for some of her polices when the husband was in power but i think the insurance companies refused. with the state of the US economy, this is not the time for Government Funded Social programmes.

its the death of a democracy.

Well, here is Madam (Anna (why pick on me, call me sister or just anna ):
We have a very fine democracy here in the Netherlands. Everyone who can gather enough signatures of supporters (i would have to look up how many exactly) can start a political party and start to find voters. That is why now we have e.g. a 'Partij voor de Dieren' (Party for the Animals) and the PVV with the terrible Wilders, who is ruining our reputation for tolerance abroad! But of course a political party's existance depends on the voters. The political party that won the elections can start forming a government, always in the form of a coalition. So, the winner will start a long procedure with talks with all the other party leaders trying to find out with what parties the government will be most successful (in this case: will be most likely to govern according to the winning party's ideas and policy). Of course the main asset of a democracy is the Parliament which consists in our country of 150 representatives of the people. The more voters a political party has, the more representatives they will have in Parliament (De Tweede Kamer). Parliament can propose Bills, that the Government has to execute if there is enough support for them.
Well, there is much more to tell of course. But the main thing is: as long as you exercise your right to vote, you can influence which party is going to win the election and so which party is going to govern the country for a period of 4 years.
