your friend needs to take action quickly, he might be planning to bring them here, or borrow money and send it home. he could take out loans here to pay there and disappear.

| Do you know guys i have got **** going in my life with my hubby, got flooded in all that bad weather and now just found out I have thyroid cancerbut my heart goes out to my friend so bad. Why do we get treated the way we do when all we try to do is help our hubby's. |

Janky, I feel very sorry and I wish you a quick recovery. Think of yourself now; don't let your friends' problems touch you too much. It is probably not good for your health.
I think many problems between Europeans and Africans occur out of misunderstandings or misinterpretations, but lying to one's partner is never ok. This man seems to be a bad one. I also think your friend should kick him out as soon as possible (jambo's concerns could be realistic), but she should allow her kids to see their father regularly. Kids need both parents.

| I know what you are saying but I never think of myself no matter what happens to me. All I ever do is think of my family and friends, it really upsets me when someone treats them bad, they hurt me too. I am married to a Gambian and I love him to bits but the way he treats me, nowhere near as bad as my friend, is not what I deserve |

janky you have too much going on in your life to allow this to enter it, but if your partner is treating you bad do not allow it to happen, negative in any form is an opening for every illness you can think of mental, physically, financial.
take a good look at the bigger picture, downsize your life and ask your friend to downsize hers. i have lived to long onthis earth not to take notice of this. BADNESS IS NOT GOOD |

| Thanks Jambo, its nice to hear all the nice words that you all have given me. Another worry is my charity, I cant let the kids down no matter what is happening. Just means I have to put going to Gambia on hold for a while until I have had my operation and recovered. I miss my kids and family in Gambia so much |

serenata, you are right, i think this is what happened to me last year, it ws like "vampires", like i was oozing money and nothing to show for it. I had to stop going and cut off all contact to regroup and re focus on me.
this trip i was stronger and told a few people exactly what i thought of them. JANKY right now has to be selfish YOU MUST stop and focus ON YOU |
