They mixed so much that they can speak each others language. I think Sintet is divided into FulaKunda(Fulas), Baako(Mandinka) and Kabomb(Jola). Yes Dalton1 you are right most if not all Fulas in Kiang especially Nioro Jattaba haave origins from Fuuta Toro or Masinah- Mali.

Konds that relaxing drink you called NJARO is TUUFAAM in Pularr.

When a visitor arrives before meal times he/she is served TUUFAAM as an appetiser. It can also be served after a hearthy lunch before ATTAYA.

MADIBA,
I hope some of you will start listining to more Wasulu music. Rokeya Toure is the nearest singer to us in Europe as she klives in France.
Otherwise contakt jalikunda Stockholm.

dalton ,thanks for the cultural link. fula is a very big language group with varying spoken words .very rich indeed. my mother is toranka of the saidy nyang clan ,so i swing to toranka and pul futa most of the time .thanks again .the alhulsuna waljama don't have a blanket ban on music but the types and content of the lyrics.

Madiba

I am still trying to learn fulani. Hopefully i will graduate from Bantaba if not the WEC Mission in Wellingara.

Dalton

I am sorry to hear Pa Juta passed away. What a small world. I did not know he is your uncle. I think our lives have crossed many times. Gambia is a small country. I will leave it there for now.

May his soul rest in peace.

With the way that you described his home, you are equally no stranger. You and Madis, honestly brought my home to this forum. I just feel like screaming, or running away. Small Gambia!!

Uncle Santa,

Sorry, our threads have not been crossing lately, something typical of a forum. Too many threads to read on, and comment on. I like your friday commentary. You should make it a continuous column here. It's a good reminder always, besides the reward. Please make dua' for us during ur night sujuds regarding the ugama workshop, so it goes well--------in the name of azja wajallah.

Folks, these postings here on bantaba has just recalled back memories of my childhood days in Basse. By the way, anybody here from Basse who could remember Abu Mansajang with his famous song "DEBO JONG TAH DOH YATA kAYA, YADOH KAYA MI SALIMINTA MAH".
I also like proverbs like "bendi bendanee, bendai ka redu" and another one too I was taught in which I caused my uncle many times before mastering the right and proper way of saying it was, "m'baba fring kiti redi, kaw jali, kaw fring kiti m'baba redi, kaw jali". This is really funny and be careful you don't say it the other way round like m'baba jali. Its now open to the floor for machudo kabunkas to shed more light on. I will be back with more God willing as they keep flowing into my memory.
