Do not expect from any media that will provids you this as you can see what is happen to observerwebs , for that i have make it sure and used all my Serraxohleh influence to avoid that it dont get to Maddi+Lemon

every year in the region of U.R.D where the sarahules are mostly concentrated ,there are lots of weddings .most of the time this occassions pass off peacefully.
but not this time .the year may be 1987 . as i said earlier where i attended my primary school ,the village is a combine mandinka and sarahule ,we all speak each others language and when there is wedings it IS a whole towm affairs. the sarahule have a tradition of making weddings a very big occassoin and men dance to the junjung( A TRADITIONAL SARAHULE DRUM) very well.
the occassion is a long story ,i cannot have the energy to write it all .so i will go to the point .if a sister is leaving her home to another home, her groom's she will hide from her brothers.
the brothers usually play second fiddle to there sisters in a sarahule setting .she female child have all she wants ,but the male child have to work hard for his share. so when the sister is leaving to her husband ,her brother will want to revenge for her privelage ,by dishing out some dirt on her .this is usuall done in way that is very discrete. she will have to hide to avoid this treatment.then the brothers and friends will go out looking for her.the bride have to choose a hiding place very well to make sure her borthers will not find her.
but in most cases she is found and her brothers will pay there revenge on her. this takes several methods.some will smack her ,others will let her do all they want like washing there cloths etc.
there is also another stage of making the bride cry . .this area was very funny to me. but it those help the bride remember her parents and friends. the age group of the bride will organise a bride crying occassion ,they will make a parade and the bride will be in the middle with her head covered.when they reach the centre of the village ,she will be showm all the places they use to play as chid's .then she will be rassle to the ground and her age mates will throw themself on her like footballers do after a goal and then a loud whalling sounds will echo all round the villages.
after this ,the bride is then be taken to the elders quotars, for advice and instructions.
then the weddings will commence in full swing.
she is well dressed and perfumed. modern transports can be use to carry her or old fashion house cart .at her husbands house she will expect to find different forms of fragrances. this are not the usual fragrances ,this are our local herbal fragrances.it is put in burning coal pot and the smoke will start flowing. this smell is unique and nice. the mandinkas and the sarahules use santan balo .
on the wedding night this fragrance will make the bride's house have nice smell .after the wedding night ,the bride will continue to stay indoor for about seven days .she will continue to burn this tree body fragrance all the time .but some bride's get so excited ,they burn the fragrance under the blanket in bed.
that is the funny side . this time ,the bride forgot to take the burning fragrance pot under the bed untill fire caught the bed and the whole house was burnt down. so much for fragrance. no one died though but fragrance burning became another subject in Darsilame .watch out mbay ,no fragrance under the blanket. |
