Hello folks -I am new to the board and thought I would say hi. I am English, living in London and my husband is Gambian. I like to know what is going on in Gambia and with the Gambians in Europe.

Yes a good site this, but also some very serious and involved stuff,so don't think it is a chat room, but having said that someone will answer any question that you have, be it the current cost of a bag of rice in Gambia or recommended reading for the good Muslim. |

Hi Newbie, welcom aboard. I am also new to the "big family" Whats going on..............have people read the reports about the tragic news; a 22 year young man was killed, apparently stabbed in the groin by the police in Serrakunda- there have been demonstrations about this and tear gas used by the police to control the demonstrators. The police say he was drug dealing, ran away from them and was impounded on some railings- Is it me or are the authorities getting more violent in their control or am I just learning more and more about the smiling coast. i.e. getting underneath the skin of the Country.
Must go, Im perched at my desk at work Tapa |
