Accountant or Zoologist,if houses are so expensive in the Gambia third world country,then surly it will be five times more expensive in UK or USA.I for one will only buy a house when i win the lottery or work for JAMMEH.

Over the past 10 years or so I have bought several plots of land - none for myself. The first was in Faraba and this cost not much more than £500. Now it is worth lots more. The last was not far from the airport (in an area now developing rapidly). Each time - luckily - they have been good buys and friends are now either happily settled or we have building programmes going.

But - now - I wish I'd bought one for myself....... and now, I think it's too late....
