Vista beta testers like myself had a pretty good thing going. We got the software for free in return for living with a bug or two.
Those happy days are ending in a little more than a month. If we don't move to the final revision of Vista by May 31, the beta will stop working and all our data will simply vanish. Ouch! Link to the story is below:
See, you get nothing for nothing these days, I think the most stable product in the windows family is windows 98SE that lets you do most things.Or does someone know better or discovered some bugs in it that I didn't know about?
"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.
I have not use Win98 for so long that I forgot how the interface look...sorry I digress. But the point I am trying to make is that most windows systems based on the NT file system are pretty stable. Windows NT and the platforms that follow are arguably more stable than Win98.
Vista from my own experience after testing it for the past 8months is a pretty good OS.
