Freedomnewspaper and its kind never seize to amaze. If the branch screechs, they scream its broken, just to turn around and sheepishly say its restored. Guys grow up. The news must be reliable / credible.

But i dont think only them reported it. Its also on other Gambian sites. Its possible that he was reinstated after dismissal which is not uncommon. People are fired in the evening and by morning they are reinstated and back at work at 8.00am.

Some have been fired and before the letters are delivered its rescinded. Sometimes the dismissed person has not received his letter yet.

Anything is possible. In the Gambia, every rumour is 80% correct, a good grade for a pass mark even at Cambridge.

Despite all the inconsistencies highlighted, we as consumers(news)deserved to be accurately and timely informed, thats my beef.

The folks at freedomnewspaper are always seeking attention...sadly, some of us give it to them everyday

"...Verily, in the remembrance of Allâh do hearts find rest..." Sura Al-Rad (Chapter 13, Verse 28)

...Gambian by birth, Muslim by the grace of Allah...

Well i am not sure if you can proof that. That is an editorial prerogative unless you are privy to insider information which they dont and which we demand you share with everyone since you believe that

"If the branch screechs, they scream its broken, just to turn around and sheepishly say its restored. Guys grow up. The news must be reliable / credible"

Share with us what you know to be the truth. However where journalist have difficulty to access information, there will always be efforts to know the truth. In the UK its called "spinning"

Konds am not privy to such truth. As journalists, its their primary responsiblity to verify their stories before publishing them. My problem is why should their 'correspondent' contact Mr. Ceesay after publishing the story. Closing the stable after the horse has bolted.

Journalists in Gambia that write the truth deserve a bravery medal. They will be the heros of Gambias future democracy.
