JANYANFARA , PLS DON'T GIVE CONI ANY MORAL SUPPORT HERE. IN AS MUCH AS WE WILL ALL JUMP UP DOWN IF SOME BODY FIND THE CURE FOR AIDS ,we need to be realistic about yaya the mad here. he cannot even cure swearing let alone a killer illness.

Surah- Ar-Rum 30-22

If AIDS can be cured, what use would we have of Santa yala and the likes?
What use would we have for any AIDS sensitisation?
I belief loads of fundings in to these socalled AIDS sensitisation campaigns could be utilised in other sectors of our economic recovery programmes.
I tell you my dear brother its rather unfortunate that we as Africans would tend to be more frustrating to efforts by our own brothers and sisters espacially when those efforts are being questioned by the west.
Who in his right sense would not belief in human conception?...............

Janyanfara, you make me even sadder than Jammeh's claim. Your argument is base on dangerous reasoning and it does not hold water. The argument is not about whether Jammeh can cure or not. It is more about how he is going about it endangering peoples' lives without first proofing he has a cure.

Did you realize the amount of exposure the patients he is claiming to cure has in the society right now? Probably not. If you were infected with HIV right now, would you stop taking the drugs and put your entire life in Jammeh's hand? You would not. So let us stop pretending to be politically correct by argueing for the sake of it. The drugs that these patients are taking helps minimize the effect of the virus so they can go about with their daily lives. This has been sciencetifically proven and you know it.

Please think about the impact should it be a false pretense? If he has found a cure power to him and the Gambia, but I think there is a better way of going about it and doing all the experiments without endangering the lives of the most vunerable, kids and their infected parents. I hope you will sleep over this and seriously think about if your child was infected today, would you prefer to take them to Jammeh for cure? Most probably not... so put yourself in the mirror and reflect deep with your mind.

Hello my dear brothers,
I think some of you really don't read all my texts I never said Yaya can cure AIDS.All I said was if he claim to have found a cure, well and good let him be proven otherwise. But he should not be criticised simply because he is not medically trained or because we don't support him PERIOD.
Myb brother Santanfara and Dbaldeh I want to ask do you belief in God?
If you do and yet you fail to realise God's power in humans then this is another situation.
Those of you who didnot know me will say what you feel and I accept your opinions as I belief in people expressing their free minds at will anytime.

Lets face the truth AIDS is a very very serious issue and a big big threat to Africa. If someone claims to have found a cure, let him/her be proven wrong otherwise critising him/her is wrong. This is my point

Talking about those victims I belief no soldier goes to their homes to bring them by force and parade them before the national TV to be treated.I belief they come to the man of their own free will. Then why question the type of treatment given to he who concents?

President Jammeh made it catagorically clear when he claimed to have found a cure that 'ANY ONE WHO WANTS TO BE CURED BY HIM WOULD BE CURED OPENLY'.If they knew this exposure and yet they went ahead to go to him,who are we to criticise that?My brothers truth is always truth and no matter how I may not support him,If I belief in the truth, then I should give him a fair judgement. This is what am doing and will continue to do.I will never take advantage of being in Europe to criticise any body just for the sake of it, never.I belief in what is good for the goose is also good for the gander

As to you last bit,if I have AIDS or my childreen has it,well that is left to me and my childreen to decide whether to go to Jammeh or use the anti viral drugs.

If the man can truely cure this deadly disease good for our country and the world but if he can't and yet claims he can, this would be at the perill of those who risk the exposure on national TV.
I can see where you are both comming from but do you defend those who don't need your defence? If you trust me and belief in what I tell you, then we will either surely succeed together or fail together.

Jammeh's AIDS CURE claim can only be proven otherwise when those claimed to have been cured by him are retested as to whether they had AIDS in the first place and if they had, has it been really cured or not.Unless this is done I will still not condemn him for he treats people with their own concent which is legal in any civilise society.

As to his mental state, well if as some of you claim he is mentally unsound this again some of your opinions for that too is not prouven.
I belief in proofs. If you don't have one, don't make baseless alle gations against somebody simply because you don't support him/her.Africa needs unity and only her sons/daughters can bring her unity.

If Jammeh's soldiers,NIAs and other sponsored tugs would also use this noble office[service to one's nation] to intimidate, toture and imprison people without trials, well again history will tell the story one day and those who live to witness it, will know the outcome when all alledged things comes to light.

I have to tell you my brothers I don't belief in criticising just because I don't like you.I criticise what you do that affects me and my country direcly or indirectly. Many would agree with me that I do write to news papers back home challenging policies that affects us all and I belief the Jammeh government would have no ojection to that so long as one doesnot criticise you own country just to get European or American papers.I only want to remain Gambian and anything concerning my country,I will discuss it with my fellow countrymen/women not with outsiders for the world is a globe.

One has to adhere to a principle aleast. When will the issue of AIDS be addressed?Do we live and die with the idea that it had no cureso then let it spread like bush-fire?Has any of you watched SORIOUS SAMURA[A Sierra leonian journalist]'s documentry on CNN about his travel accross African on AIDS?If you do and yet say what you are now saying, then it is another pitty.

I wish this alledged cure is true

Good nite brothers,
peace

He can't claim to cure aids until he has done proper scientific testing over a long period of time. IF after say 10 years of testing, using a control group for comparison, he can say his patients have a much better survival rate then he can say he has a cure.

At the moment he is making claims that make Gambia a laughing stock around the world.

I feel very sorry for the people involved in his experiment and all the publicity they are having to endure.

Getting the correct drugs and having a healthy life style are key to survival. A good diet would be more use to these people along with western medicine. A body already weakened by malaria and malnutrition is much more likely to contract HIV and then much more like to die indirectly from AIDS due to getting associated illnesses such as pneumonia.

Gambiabev, not sure why you choose malaria in your posting! but on another angle - Tuberculosis CAN be ACTIVATED by HIV.Someone who is HIV antibody positive and infected with TB is many times more likely to become sick with TB than someone who is not infected with HIV.

TB is a leading cause of death among people who are HIV antibody positive, without having gone on to full blown AIDS.

Poorly supervised treatment programmes with patients not completing their full course of treatment has made the situation worse with the emergence of multi-resistant TB.

The world would be a poorer place if it was peopled by children whose parents risked nothing in the cause of social justice, for fear of personal loss. (Joe Slovo - African revolutionary)

bev ,you raised some good points here. some experts even claim that malnutrition and malaria can aggravate hiv and aids. i am still unhappy with my learneded cyber friend janyanfara's defense .yaya cannot under any circumstances cure aids. period. i seriously believe in god but i also believe in reality and what is possible and what is just baldadash.

bro,
Which experts claim that malnutrition and malaria can aggravate hiv and aids.
Hiv/aids can aggrivate such as TB, pneumonia, direa, and such but not malaria.
I suggest we leave this topic because the international aid wokers are on the man. We can just discuss here. Theose who can reach him can deal with him. IE the Aids exparts.
