fair trade would be good, but some countries need to get there internal problems sorted out. to trade legal you need licences, standards, i know it is an age old problem but i would love to export goods from gambia, but the stupid barriers are people created. i will look at other ways to trade but trust me to take it to an international level takes time and money and both these things can be barrier. SISTER can i ask are you looking to trade |

Greetings Everyone
Thanx toubab1020. Jambo I already trade with Africa and have been doing so for sometime. Yes you're right there are many unnecessary barriers put in the way of fair trade.

i recently wrote a paper about the globalism and it depressed me so much i changed my major. the activities of western organizations such as the world bank and international monetary fund some scholars have equated to declaring war on certain countries because essentially they ruin countries, except without weapons they do it economically. a majority of africa countries are poorer now than when they first recieved their independence. it makes me sad when i think of the hyprocracy of the idea of globalism because its not an open market where the world interacts, its a tightly controlled market rigged to benefit mainly the western world. |

True Kassma because the system is the same as it has always been run by the west in the interest of the west. That is why Africa and other countries need to find solutions to be able to sustain their own countries i.e investing in Human Resources and explioting their own natural resources for their own interests and exporting the surplus.

sister o what a wonderful dream that african countries could find there own solutions but last year i saw things and had converstion that opened by eyes to the stupidness and greediness of african against africans, i thin the west plays african ****ries against one another. one of my main things about trade with african is how goods are transported they can be "KEPT2 at a border just because you do not ahve the right papers "FEE", of you have to travel from east africa to europe to west africa becase there is not east airline things like this are the "AFRICAN" problem and the west will "help" but at a price. the future of the continent is the hands of a few some of whom have the own interests at heart how sad |

i do really believe that many african governments are in the pockets of western governments and those that try to bring a change or not play by the rules of western governments are eliminated or have their manipulated up to the point that things go out of control ie congo, haiti, thats why it pisses me off when see people like oh africa is so messed up and blah blah blah |

Kassma I agree with you. For the West Africa is the Goose which keeps on laying the golden egg as long as the people of Africa are distracted from profitting from collecting the eggs themselves. That's way the artificial barriers that divide us as a people are in place, and our populace looks outside of themselves to find the solutions to our problems.

exactly!!!! i just hope the next generation of africans are more aggressive, because in politics and passivity don't mix,i think a lot of people in my generation are about fed up so i think there will be some change in the future. |
