JANYANFARA, WELL WITH YOUR INTELLECTUAL CAPACITY I EXPECTED YOU NOT GIVE ANY RATIONAL support to yaya's mad adventure . fixing a broken bone is no miracle art brother ,lots of people do it in the gambia ,even my humble village people fix bones .remember that any one who find the cure for AIDS will never be poor again. yet multinational company's like GLAXGOSMITHKLINE could not find the cure .what we fail to appreciate is what is the reason for AIDS not having a cure for this long period . AIDS IS NOT A DESEASE but a breakdown of all the body's natural defences against illnesses. so if the body have no system of defending itself all minor brush aside sickness becomes troublesome for the infected person. so yaya cannot restore the body's natural defences ,drinking rivers of habal medicine will certainly not cure AIDS . The logical arquement for yaya is for him to go back to his days job and advice his fellow country men of being aware of the killer condition call AIDS . PERIOD.fixing bones ,well footballers go back to playing in a couple of weeks after breaking bones .

Surah- Ar-Rum 30-22

Cornelius,

I am more worried for Jammeh than I wish to condemn him. He has stepped too far this time round. AIDS and asthma have proved to be very stubborn challenges for the best of medical doctors on this planet. Jammeh likes to fit himself into situations. He jumped on the high seat of political power in Gambia by staging a coup. He is still struggling to regain his broken reputation over how much suffering and death Gambians continue to encounter under his tight grips of power. That is Gambia, a tiny country in West Africa.

The regime of AIDS is a much larger landscape for non-starters. It was not wise of Jammeh to raise a voice about how AIDS is treated let alone to claim a CURE for it. He has ventured into the highest risk over his already tarnished reputation. It is brain-cracking to think of how Jammeh was lured into stepping in this dangerous territory. I think he incidentally encroached the geographical boundaries of both authority and capacity.

This one is a war between Jammeh and world experts and their specialised institutions. It appears that Dr. Tamsir Mbowe, his employee (Minister of Health) and mentor in the medical regime is himself running out of oxygen. On a final note, should Jammeh become the magical healer of asthma and HIV/AIDS, I would recommend he takes up a leading role with WHO and leave tiny Gambia to be run by lesser capable persons. This is because his capacity to heal HIV/AIDS exceeds the demands to run little Gambia in West Africa. He will then become captain of all doctors, His Highest Excellency, King of Everything.

February 7, 2007, 3 hours, 44 minutes and 8 seconds ago.

By Pa Nderry M'Bai

Today, we are publishing pictures featuring Gambian President Yahya Jammeh administering his new found HIV/Aids drugs. The President claimed he invented the "the said drugs" made locally. The people drinking these drugs are people diagonised with HIV, the virus that causes aids. The Gambian President said he had been given the mandate to cure HIV, but would not say who gave him such a mandate. The Health Ministry claimed that the patients cured by the President were tested by a Dakar based Medical Dotor. Read this statement issued by the Ministry of Health regarding the outcome of the said test:

The Gambian President said he had been given the mandate to cure HIV, but would not say who gavehim such a mandate. The Health Ministry claimed that the patients cured by the President were tested by Dakar based Medical Dotor. Read this statement issued by the Ministry of Health regarding the outcome of the said test:

The Department of State for Health and Social Welfare is hereby updating the general public on the progress made by His Excellency's Herbal treatment to nine patients with HIV infection. As you have previously been informed, the clinical conditions of the Patients have improved significantly. The results of the Viral Loads received yesterday are as follows: - Five people have undetectable Viral Load - One patient has moderate Viral Load - Three people have high Viral Load The results so far are very promising. In another development, out of the 135 people treated for Asthma, 91 people have called in to report successful recovery. The Department of State for Health under the leadership of Dr. Tamsir Mbowe takes this opportunity to renew its professional and moral support to His Excellency's efforts to uplift the Health status of Gambians afflicted with such diseases. The Department of State also wishes to congratulate His Excellency the present for remarkable success achieved so far in his herbal treatment of patients with HIV infection and Asthma. In another development, this paper is pleased to publish the letter issued by the Senegalese doctor who conducted the HIV test on the patients treated by Jammeh. Please read on:

The government also went as far as publishing the photgraphs of the HIV patients purportedly cured by the President. Please take a look at these photographs:

To view individual results click on the images Jainaba Say Fatou Fadera Lamin Ceesay Jonkong Jarju Fatou Kaw Fatou Jatta Ousman Sowe Adama Manneh Dadou Jawo
By clicking these images, you can know the patients personal information. An aids activist accused the government of invading the privacies of the HIV patients. The President continues to see patients on a daily basis. Local UN agencies are meanwhile mute over the President's new aids cure. It's not clear what there next line of action would be.Observers here believe that if the President is not cautioned he might end up promoting risky behaviours in the Gambia. This paper would keep you posted about developments in the Gambia as they unfold.
