UDP/NRP/GPDP Alliance 37 Sponsored Candidates nominated
Ladies and Gentlemen,
this mornining a total of number of 37 sponsored candidates were nominated for the forth coming National Assembnly elections scheduled for January 25th 2007.
Addressing some sponsored candidates at the UDP Secretary General and Party leader -Lawyer Ousainou Darboe īs residence this afternoon, GPDP Secretary General Hon. Hendry Gomez introduced all the candidates and spoke well of them. He reminded them about their constitutional rights and to campaign according to the electoral laws. He thanked them for taking up the challenge.
Mr. Darboe wellcome all the Banjul and Kombosī Alliance candidates for the national dedication that they have taken. He said that inspite of the incontrovertible evidence of unrestrained intimidation, harassment and unbriddled use and misuse of national resources, in the past elections, the Alliance has decided to put up candidates for the coming National Assembly elections.
He expressed on behalf of the entire Alliance its heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all the sponsored candidates and pray for them for a successful campaign.

| it seems to be a tactical choice. no candidate for wulli and sandu and also for foni. nyarikanbana can you shed any light on the nominations and why no candidate for the above constituencies. |
