should i be rejoicing at the news that all nia detainees have been released just read it on the point newspapers www.thepoint.gm is there anyone left in detention, there are a few names missing any updates i am happy but will be happy when i get feedback from their families , friends or collegues.

AM HAPPY FOR THEM. i hope this trend continue. it doesn't make sense to be cruel to your citizens. when people fill free ,they fill happy. a happy man is a healthy person and can contribute his/her quota in nation building. jammeh need good advicers ,whether he listen to them is another matter..i nominate brother Alhasan to be his chief advicer. he has the credibility to put him on the right track. may be he already got a state appointed job. |

hi madiba, i cannot find the link, but the piece read like a correction and a back track on the announcement of the amnesty. i have friends in gambia and when they see the people on the street, or have heard that they are with there families then i will believe the amnesty. if is one think to talk about release, it is a seperate matter to release them. but think postive for 2007, by end of january i hope all will be released. |
