Blood diamonds les than 1% from 15% that’s good news if it’s to stop
the bloodsheding, but i m afraid that the ordinary people are hitting a very hard cos
they are not only after blood diamonds but stopping also those who are without a certificate
which mostly are available only these with full pocket of money like De Beer or knowing the branch
With good connections .well what about these poor ordinary people and they families who are depending
on this to feed they families and having nothing to do with this corrupted world?
Or is it as we are saying it here in Germany. wer hat hat es.
Aber wer nicht kriegt auch nicht (who has then had it but who didn’t will also not)?

Nice quotations, mbay! Wer hat, der hat - allerdings. And there is also the proverb (a little bit rude): 'Der Teufel scheißt immer auf den dicksten Haufen', meaning the devil always gives more to those who already possess a lot - and brings more problems to those who are already suffering.
I don't know if these 'blood diamonds' really deserve the title any more, of if meanwhile it is a manipulation by De Beers to keep diamonds scarce on the world market. Does anyone know more about this and can enlighten us? |

You hit the point about De Beers this company is the most monsters among them.
They have they fingers every where.
Like one Jews man was trying some yrs back to open his own in Angola
They mad the entire trick to stop it because of they own disadvantage.
I spend some time in Serra Leon and i have seeing it trough my own eyes
how the tricks they were playing. They have no regret for the others
Not even the small poor’s .but like we have seeing it with Mannesmann stories here in Germany
or like you put it about the devils.
I think something most be doing for wage of the poorest.

You are right, De Beers is The Godfather in Diamonds. This Syndicate controls everything - with official permission.
What I am sceptical about is the fact that at least in Germany there was little publicity about the Sierra Leonean blood diamonds during the civil war, but a lot after this terrible period.
Wikipedia: "In 2002, the UN approved the Kimberley Process scheme aimed at preventing conflict diamonds entering the market".
