Let me qualify my question. I was interested in the edcucation minister after independence.
Sorry if i was not clear enough. Jawara was appointed before Paul but he resigned in protest to the appointment of P.S Njie as Chief Minster by Governor Windley.
He contested elections in 1962, and PPP won 18 seats while UP won 13 seats. He then automatically became Chief Minister and later Prime Minister. In the previous election, PPP had only 10 seats in Parliament and because PPP was in the minority Jawara became Education Minister.
Sorrry my question was not clear enough. My fault. You are right Jawara was Education Minister before Paul Baldeh.
