Jammeh is hardworking, a hardliner and very courageous who loves the country and its people with lots of landmark development achievements. He has won the recent elections and democratically mandated to rule another 5 years. As its a new era we need to consider and re-orientate ourselves what can give us PEACE, PROGRESS AND STABILITY.
THE SYSTEM IS THE PROBLEM FOR EXAMPLE ABUSE OF OFFICE BY PUBLIC SERVANTS, UNPROFESSIONALISM, IMPARTIALITY, HIGH TURNOVER OF HIRING AND FIRING, POLITICAL VICTIMISATION, THUGGERY, AGENTS OF TERROR & TORTURE, HUMAN RIGHTS RECORDS, JUSTICE SYSTEM, TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY are the pertinent issues we need for re-orientaion, development, peace, progress, prosperity and STABILITY!!! Also we need TRUTH, RECONCILIATION, DEVELOPMENT, PROGRESS AND NATIONAL UNITY in the NEW ERA. Albeit many have been victimised and many families has suffered, there the need for POLITICS OF TRUTH but not ENDLESS MANIPULATIONS, CORRUPTION, HATRED, GRUDGE AND GRIEVIANCES. We need the duly elected to decry these astrocities, promote human rights, a good justice and proper democracy towards the 21st century. Hoping to see our first National Bill of Rights inaugurated in the new era.
There are a lot of stakeholders, lots of challenges and opportunities for NEW ERA! Campaigns and elections are over, LETS GET ON TO SERIOUS BUSINESS FOR PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT
From that bcakground information launching this poem on RECONCILIATION to inspire us:
RECONCILIATION
Word over all, beutiful as the sky Beautiful that war and all its deeds of carnage must in time be utterly lost. That the hands of the sisters Death and Night incessantly softly wash again, and ever agin, this soil'd world; For my enemy is dead, a man devine as myself is dead. I look where he lies white-faced and still in the coffin - I draw near, Bend down and touch lightly with my lips the white face in the coffin.
Walt Whitman 1819 - 1892
GAMBIA is a very small country for everybody to live in PEACE.
GAMBIA FOR ALL GAMBIANS! GOD BLESS THE GAMBIA! PEACE!

Follow Jammeh's rule or you will fall and no compromise. Very shortly another "OPERATION ............" will be instituted. Be Jammeh or keep quite if not Mile 2 will be your Shareton Hotel. This is a warning to those making false accusation. |

Ebra! Some citizens do applaud Jammeh and others are apprehension of his style OF LEADERSHIP or weaknesses in some respects albeit him being our LEADER AND PRESIDENT WITH ABSOLUTE MANDATE for another ERA! Being opposition does not mean you are unpatriotic as politics is a piercing spotlight business. Earlier I concur with you that if there are grounds for libel the law should take its course.
Would like to quote your scientific THEORY posted under topic: No Term Limit as follows:
"Oscillation, in physics, chemistry, engineering, humanity,is reasoning truth is the repeated motion back and forth past a central neutral position, or position of equilibrium. A single motion from one extreme position to the other and back, passing through the neutral position twice, is called a cycle. Yep am like that I don't support any single party, but follow the truth no matter whether is or against anyone, so to better susbtantial my point is that (SOCEITY NEEDS TO BE RUN BY THOSE WHOM THEY VOTED IN NO MATTER WHAT, AS FAR AS THEIR NEEDS ARE BEEN DELIVERED AS EXPECTED). When one deviates then the law thats it course."
Ebra that looks interesting also in a strivig democracy for Law and Order for its society. However your warning is keenly acknowledged and taken seriously. Hope some of us will sort our HEADS AND BECOME MORE SOBER WITH OUR THOUGHTS!
THANKS AND DUE RESPECT TO YOUR COMMENTS!
PEACE AND PROGRESS! |

Kobo don't be scare to say anything here. I am an ordinary guy like anyone, I did spoke of my mind that I never voted for Jammeh and still thats the truth. I do buy his achievements likewise the oppositions' positive ideas or suggestions. We just have to have proof of what we say. I felt bad that you might think that am Jammeh's agent. nooooooooo way, I never allow any human being to use me. I am and ever been a free man and do or say anything I want provided that I don't obstruct justice, none of these policitian benefitted me. Kobo check one of my posting you will realize that you were ever my star. I do support most of your ideas but we do differ in some instances. Thats how human society should work. Suppose we all think equally, and act equally the world will be the craziest place to live. I did talk against Jammeh(The Big man/Oga), Darboe (Coward), Hamat(Confused Man), Gomez (Undecided enterprenuer), Halifa (Jack of all Trade), Waa (Voilent man), Kemeseng (Opportunist), BabaJawara(Desperate daddy), Baba Jobe(Jungle Master), Sheriff Dibba (Disgrace Politician), Sarja Taal (Intellectual prostitute)and so on. It is like a clock if the time turns to anyone no sparing, thats how a truthful person should be. |

Thanks Ebra for clearing the air! Those thoughts refreshes us but your hints are part of the checks and balances for a healthy forum. There should be some element of maturity, facts that can be substantiated and to assume full responsibility for distortions, false allegations, its implications to the society concern, moral, crimininal or otherwise!
I do appreciate your timely interventions as moral booster for me. However it does censore us as citizens the ethics and norms of society and mitigates on dis-orientation for development, peace and progress, which we owe the whole community of Gambians in the interest of STABILITY!
PEACE! |

Politics in Arfica is very dangerous and the anti-cyber terrorism agents makes it more dangerous in Gambian politics. Don't think truth, reconciliationa nad national unity may accomodate divergent views and opponents of current government. The views of the opposing parties are not appreciated and condoned to be genuine, valid and lack of encouragement freedom of expressions.
It appears to have shifted in this open forum and censore, ALARMS and THREATS have started flowing recently as CAUTION to vocal contributors. Therefore on my part suspend all contributions under Gambian politics to take a break and observe what the NEW ERA holds as a package for DEVELOPMENT GAMBIANS, ITS JUSTICES, LAW ENFORCEMENT SYSTEMS AND GOOD GOVERNANCE!
THANKS! PEACE AND A HAPPY NEW ERA!
GOD BLESS GAMBIA! |

In slumber Mawdo! "SILENCE OF THE LAMB". Gambia has a very complex society. It has a deep well with a deep black hole in it and once you step in everything is dark and gloomy!
Won't bother much on Gambian politics as political science theories, advocacy of an ideal democracy, human rights and constitutional issues, pressure groups and activism are counter productive!
How can we achieve national unity if we fail to re-orientate ourselves? Have other important schedules to attend to by the way.

This is the exact type of thinking that permeates in the minds of most Gambians both in the diaspora and at home. It's time we stop being scared and stand up for our human rights and dignity! We must make sacrifices if we yearn Freedom. I'm not calling for violence. What we need to do is get out in great numbers and march to show our disapproval of the current system. Jammeh and his regime must start abiding by the law and understand that they are there to represent us the people. Anyone else have better ideas? |
Justice must be served as impunity brings more repression and corruption! |

He who fights and runs away, leads to fight another day. Like the wollofs say: FATAM TAP, TAGA LEH WUT MBAM AK NO PAM ( The flapping of a donkeys ears, does not separate it from its head). |

..and he who fight and dies on the spot, will be crowned a true hero.Running away to gather strength is as well respected. i am of the view that the people need to make things ungovernable by taking to the streets. That is a true verdict that power belongs to the people, and not an individual. |

On my part I have exploited this medium of communication to interact on THE TACIT DISAPPROVAL OF THE UNDEMOCRATIC DIVIDE AND RULE POLICIES, ABUSE OF HUMAN AND CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS, SAHRE THE APPREHENSIONS TO THE MOTHERLAND WITH MY FELLOW PATRIOTS!
Ebra to remind you of a post that inspired me. "Even our venerate Prohet Muhamad (s.a.w) cannot be absolved from critisms by "Yaa banii Adam" and who has always been criticized, likewise hypocritical attempts not to appreciate or accept any criticisms against any other ordinary person" . Gambian politics is all about OPPORTUNISM, CORRUPTION, NEPOTISM AND FAVORITISM. Take note that no condition is permanent and no man is indispensable! I believed that my contributions are an overkill of TRUTH ABOUT GAMBIAN POLITICS AND THE SYSTEM!
Therefore need a break and passing on the barton as the STRUGGLE CONTINUES ON AND ON! We owe it to the families of Late Koro Ceesay!, Omar Barrow!, Deyda Hydra! and other victims that have fallen over the decade Jammeh and APRC have been in power. We plea for ACCOUNT AND JUSTICE and PRAY in this holy month of RAMADAN for their souls to R.I.P and ALLAH to bring justice for their families. Ameen!
Balance of justice will appraise all deeds! GOD bess Gambia!

"Electorate disappointed Gambians", "Taking to the streets...", news story & Editorial on 09/23 was based on the fallen victims. I tell you BLACK APRIL together with the names above, and other people, stirred a great deal of activism. See either opinion or editorial of ours, "A call to write." soon.
I tell you that the two phases of the world (The Gambia.) After the current era (Jawara & Jammeh), then Gambians will return to civility.
I tell you BLACK APRIL AS AN EYE WITHNESS, JUST 22 YEARS OF AGE. SUCH A DAY PULLED MANY PEOPLE ON BOARD.
REST IN PEACE KORO REST IN PEACE DEYDA REST IN PEACE BARROW REST IN PEACE ALL OUR STUDENT PATRIOTS AND ALL THOSE THAT DIED WHILE FIGHTING FOR REALITY. AMEEN!
