Sympathizing with Lawyer Darboe.
A source has it that Mr. Ousainou Darboe Did what was expected of him, i.e. to consult his external youth wing (NY based) to the last minute, but they suggested to him that he was better going alone without NADD. If this is true, then Ousainou cannot take all this blame. We hope people like Saihou Mballow can share their own part in this. In fact, it is further asserted that Mr. Darboe’s last visit to the U.S was to further seek advice from his mates. At this point, I am forced to empathize with Ousainou honestly. Gambians should look more into the matter, rather than just hitting on Mr. Darboe. There are others who play underground games. A credible source from New York.

Bronx and Nyarinkangbana (Daffeh) are part of those promoters of SELF-DESTRUCT initiatives for Darboe - UDP/NRP Alliance BE A LONG WAY ALONE STRATEGY!
Hit back as usual GUYS! Take your share of the BLAME as you spent all your time, energy and resources campaigning for FAILURE OF DARBOE - UDP/NRP.
Its a DONE DEAL and the NUMBERS wasted with massive mass defections>

Kobo, Chill. I don't have any influence in the workings of the UDP. They don't even know I exist. What I have been defending here is Darbo's right and any Gambian for that matter to association. To equate that with me having an advisory role in the UDP is disingenous to say the least. But I don't expect much from a charlatan like you. |

Every Gambian for FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION. Thanks fot wasting your time then Bronx. All my arguments were based on strategic GOALS and OBJECTIVES to harmonise a good, healthy working relationship for the opposition to work as a TEAM and UNITING THEM UNDER ONE UMBRELLA; strategically formulated by STGDP's NADD; which you rejected based on FALSE PREMISES and PRINCIPLES; and HERE YOU ARE RUNNING AWAY FROM TAKING BLAME or RESPONSIBILITY in isolating UDP/NRP for the COMMON GOAL and its FAILURES.
That does not absolve you from what you advocated up to the last minute. YOU WERE FOREWARNED "TOGETHER WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL". Remember I told you "you were riding on a cart with a puntured tyre and that punctured tyre is NADD" but you went balisic several times to sell UDP/NRP Alliance and later revert to use "SOPHIE SLOGAN" Alliance for Regime Change (ARC) with a good write up from Bronx.
Quote from Foroyaa Editorial
The Gambian people should now begin to look for a new instrument to be able to bring about change. The old instrument has proven to be ineffective.

Perhaps reading the quotaion will help to sort your head out!

| Darboe is solely responsible for his actions. If he acted on bad advice from his supporters/advisers despite his own best judgment , then I wonder what kind of leader he would be. |

Kobo, Are you well? Since when did Yahya Jammeh winning the elections become an issue about me and who I support. I have a right to support anyone, so do you. Both our freaking candidates lost. What are you gloating about?

You lied when you attribute that slogan to me. Go and check the archives and show me where I ever used that slogan. Get your facts straight missy. |

Each and everyone of us must take part of the responsibility for what happened leading to the elections and the out come of the results. Thanks to all of us for killing the last hope of democratic participation in our motherland.
The results of the elections means a lot more than just a Jammeh victory. We need to carefully analyse the run up to the elections and interpret the results with the sole purpose of drawing historic lessons.
The election turn out and results was an outright rejection of intellectual dishonesty and politics of personality. The opposition has been sentenced to death through the ballot box and no matter how you look at it, it is another embarrassment for lack of a coherent message and recognition of the threat of an incumbent.
The fact that 41% of registered voters refuse to come out and vote tells a lot about the opposition' message. Worst even, over 65% of those who voted did so either in sole support for their own interest or out of fear of being victimise for the next five years.
We all know change has never been easy regardless of the hardship people have to go through. You have to have an absolute reason to let go of the status quo, and embrace new beginnings and this applies to everyone of us. If the opposition think simply because people have been disgruntled about the current regime, that is sufficient to dump them? then they must learn it the hard way.
Finally, the opposition must give the people the reason for change. They must create the dynamics and incentives to stand up against incumbent intimidation. They must recognize that it will take more than coming together to unseat an oppressive regime with all state machinery at its disposal. They must admit that being majority before is not a free ticket to the presidency. This is a bitter lesson our opposition must learn and give way to a new generation of leaders to bring about the change. The lessons are crystal clear, clean your house, before you are trusted to clean for others. |

Folks, don't you think it is time to initiate a popular drive for the enactment of a TERM LIMIT ? It will be good for the people of the Gambia , and it will create a peacefull exit strategy for Jammeh too. At face value , Jammeh is doing a great job in terms of infrastructural development , but somebody else can continue that good job and also do more in the human rights and freedoms arena. So Jammeh doesn't have to stay in power too long. There are so many disadvantages to an excessively lenghty presidency. Can we have a consensus that THE GAMBIA NEEDS A PRESIDENTIAL TERM LIMIT ? IF SO WHAT CAN WE DO RIGHT NOW TO BRING THAT ABOUT ?

| tHERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT THAT RIGHT NOW. NO ONE IS LISTENING AS PEOPLE ON THE BEACHES HAVING SOME BBQ. I THINK IT REQUIRES A REFERENDUM TO CHANGE IT. AM NOT SURE. |

Dalton, we should not forget the role played by Pa Nderry and his sources in reporting (“Jottaliing”) discussions held in NADD executive meetings. Their intention might not be to see NADD split but I believe they played a significant role. |

I don't have time to refer you to the archives. "Sophie slogan" is literally ARC. Didn't you gloat about Alliance for Regime Change represents your UDP/NRP/GPDP when Hamat Bah coined it?
However its a trivial issue to argue with you or continue any further exchanges and wish you well with your endeavours!

Mawdo,
I understand your take on the issue, but that the guy was vindicated after all he said came true. I will check the achrives, and one piece i wrote "Parting with loved ones.", and another one was an advice over news reportage. |
