I raised the topic of National Unity here, some people were saying that I was dumb and all kind of ugly names said to me. The best solution of any society, group or what, goes successfully if there is TEAMWORK. The government ministrial positions compose of all the political parties leaders then Jammeh be the president. This will be a good system in the sense each is assign to the areas of their concentrations. I knew for certain that Jammeh is going to win. There has been a lot of development since 1994, but many failed to realize it. This is human nature, they are never satisfy the more we have, the more we want/demand. But what about the resources that we need inorder to meet the ends is the question. Rome was not built in a day. So is time for development and to make our dreams come through which is vision 2020/The Silicon Valley. Suffice to say, but am glad that Darboe did not run away nor conceded the results whilst the counting was in progress.
DEVELOPMENT DEVELOPMENT, GOD BLESS GAMBIA

Election results and analysis of the political situation post-election, our concerns and viewpoints are highlighted as reported under BBC:

However considering our divergent of opinions, after all we are all Gambians and our struggle is for PEACE, PROGRESS, STABILITY AND PROSPERITY! STABILITY EMBODIES TRANSPARENCY, ACCOUNTABILITY, JUSTICE AND PROPER DEMOCRACY! ALL OF THEM SHOULD BE BASED ON IDEAL STANDARDS AND TEAMWORK!

Futhermore we need to remind ourselves of SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT and promote the culture of WORK. The culture of CELEBRATIONS for e.g VITORYWSISE PARTYING, series of NTAIONAL EVENTS, SOCIAL AND CULTURAL celebrations programmes everytime atleast once in a month round the year around at STATE EXPENSES, FUNDING AND SPONSORSHIP affects OUR ECONOMY! and encourages SQUANDERING OF FUNDS, IDLE AND COMPLACENCY!

LETS LIVE BY THE TRUTH "WITHOUT FEAR AND FAVOUR"!
LONG LIVE GAMBIA!

I'd like to congratulate President Yaya Jammeh in winning the elections. The Gambian people have spoken and their votes are to be respected. May Our Creator bless The Gambia! Well done APRC!! As for the opposition they will need to listen more to what the people want which is unity. They will need to get their own house in order before they can even consider ruling the country.

Ebra I agree with your reasoning on the principle that Africa needs to find its own models of governance because the western model has never benefited Africa. Anyway I predicted in my earlier post came true Jammeh still holds the seat of power and he has a clearly demonstrated that he indeed has a clear vision for 2020.

Gambia is a land of opportunity because there is so much work to be done. The APRC achievements have been clearly recognised in health, education, infrastructural development etc. People can either decide to be part of a problem or part of a solution. On friday Gambian's voted to be part of a solution. It is my hope that the APRC goverment analyzes a range of public opinion to improve on some of its policies i.e Human Rights, unemployment, inflation, and continues to monitor and evaluate its efficency, accountability and transparency a long the road to progress towards Vision 2020.

May Our Creator bless The Gambia!

Other factors hindering progress of the opposition parties include illiteracy rate; which is high and to sell programs, manifestos, what type of good governance and nature of the democratic atmosphere they advocates.

Sister Omega has acknowledged certain ills and weaknesses which also affects our mass poor farmers to trade their crops. However irrespective of persistent trade failures, human rights records and blackholes in the economy the masses don't care or don't see its significance because they are not receptible to these messages!

Ebra stated that each democracy suits its society but I consider it hard to appreciate that. We are in the 21st Century and there are lots of opportunities for Gambians to develope our Executive anad Legislative institutions for proper democracy and good governance. However average Gambians mainly believe in the will of GOD but a good opposition mitigates in the checks and balances of the stewardship, good governance and a vibrant proper democracy. We are moving towards other stages of development and better political maturity.

I wonder whether the APRC would scout or tap potentials from the opposition as a gesture for national unity for development. Being opposiotion does not mean that you are not patriotic and that your voice and proposals should not be recognised in current Government agendas.

Therefore the APRC has more challenges in the new era than what has already transpired. They have other viable projects and heard of sillicon valley in the pipeline but building on and improving other tenets of democracy is also important for STABILITY AND PROGRESS!

PEACE TO ALL GAMBIANS!
