Ebra. What do you mean by our system of democracy? Just remember that no one means harm for Gambia. We just cannot allow Jammeh to have absolute power.

www.progressiveafricans.com have the results with the percentage distribution. The results are quite disappointing. I believe Jammeh would do better than any candidate in the previous presidential elections. The opposition better hope for massive opposition votes to mitigate the humiliating defeat.

Jammeh also said:

"if you want to be a president of The Gambia, I can assure you that you will have the longest years to wait. Billahi Wallahi Tallahi, if you want to be the President of this country, I can swear to Almighty Allah, you must be more patient than a vulture, because I am not giving you the power now. When am I going to hand over The Gambia to you? And before that I will not hand over The Gambia. The day we achieve what is enshrined in Vision 2020, ...............You have at least 30 years to wait. Do I raise any eyebrows? Yes, the British were here for 400."

Ebra,
I agree with your this statement:

"Almighty has accepted his prayers. President Jammeh's percentage of votes will be the first african president to pull such in a free and fair election,"

Gambians have spoken and who are we to say no?I have always said that the opposition's failure to come together as one would fight back against them when they meet the electorates for Gambians are no fools.
