Hi Aku-pickin, Thanks for sending in this article to give readers a glipse of Gambia in 1940's so that we can see how far the country has reached since then and how far it still has to go along the road of progress.

It was a sad state of affairs then and though the current regime claims to be developing the nation with empty buildings, the rape of our nation continues by a callous and reckless so-called-leader. We as a diversed nation are resolute and we shall overcome the current madness we are today witnessing in our beloved Gambia. Peace
