OLD YUNDUM ALIKALO ARRESTED AND RELEASED By Modou Jonga
Report reaching 'Foroyaa' indicated that Alh. Modou Faye, the village head (Alkalo) of old Yundum in the Kombo North was arrested by the security forces and detained at the Yundum Police Station for a few days. He is said to have been arrested from his home village. It is reported that Mr. Faye was later released on Wednesday. His arrest is said to be in connection to the Alkaloship crisis in the village. The conditions of his release are not clear. The Alkalo was released by the Police through the intervention of the Governor of Western Division Abdou F.M Badjie, after the reason advanced for his arrest were found to be baseless, a family source told this reporter. He is said to be reinstated as the Alkalo of the village. O.C Colley of Yundum Police Station declined to comment on the issue, but directed this reporter to the Police PRO. The Police PRO Aziz Bojang confirmed the detention of the said Alkalo, but said he could not reveal the reason for his arrest.

| Its becoming alarming towards civil crises. Why these arrests and detentions politically motivated and elections supposed to be just round the corner? Even the IEC is not spared! |

Which IEC?
Are you talking of JCEC[Jammeh's Chosen Electoral Commission]? I yes then don't call it Independent. Its never Independent. My friend Just ask someone what happened on nomination day.Ask how Jammeh was received by Mustapha Carayol [Jammeh's chosen Chairman]
What Independent electoral bla bla?
Come-on we've just come home to express to Jammeh that no matter what, there would always be people who say no to his policies openly.
Am sure He will win this election but he will see for himself how many people really don't approve of his policies.Am sure if he sits in his room after the election and after knowing how many foreigners were added to his vote to get him to State House and compared to the number of Gambians who said NO TO JAMMEH through the ballot box,He will know that no matter the intimidations and every form of oppression,so many Gambians are determined to vote Him out.
