SIDIA JATTA CLARIFIES
Fabakary .B. Ceesay

The National Assembly Member for Wuli East Constituency, Honorable Sidia Jatta, has dismissed rumours that he wanted to abandoned NADD for UDP. Addressing a rally at Serrekunda, Jatta, rubbished the rumour that he had a disagreement with Halifa Sallah, the NADD flag bearer, and that he is about to leave NADD. Honorable Jatta said that he heard lots of rumours that Omar Jallow (O.J) and his Family have run into exile and that Lamin Waa Juwara also wanted to abandon NADD. Jatta said that NADD is the only Opposition Party that has a representative at the parliament. He pointed out that NADD is clean and that no hands can make it dirty. He emphasised that NADD is the Party that can draw support from the APRC. He cited the 29th September 2005 by election as an example.

The Wuli NAM threw light on the resignation of Ousainou Darboe from NADD. He pointed out that, the day that the NADD executives met to discuss the flag bearer issue Darboe was absent. According to him, the other two (2) aspirant Candidates were present and that all of them swore that they would accept anybody selected by NADD. Mr. Jatta indicated that at the following executive meeting they were expecting Darboe to repeat the words altered by his colleagues. "Darboe said that there was betrayal, and in the process he has decided to resign and then tendered his letter of resignation." Honorable Jatta noted that at that juncture he appealed for the meeting to be adjourned. " I told Darboe that you are not on the right track and asked him to retrieve the letter and make it a secret until further notice," Jatta said. Mr. Jatta narrated that they opened Darboe's letter at their following meeting and it reads, " I cannot abandoned my Party for another Party." He said that after the meeting, he called Darboe and proposed an audience with him and Darboe chose his house for the meeting.
According to Jatta, he advised Darboe to put the interest of the Gambian People top on their agenda and take things in good faith, but Darboe told him that he could not respond to him and gave him another date. Going further, Jatta said that his next meeting with Darboe was held at the latter's office in Banjul. According to him, Darboe told him that he could not take his advice because he had already told the Gambians that he has resigned from NADD. " I told him, 'Ousainou, You are betraying Allah and the Gambia,' but he said that it was too late for him to come back to NADD," NAM Jatta explained.

How can any conscious Gambian trust this traitor. Believe it or not, Darboe cares less about The Gambia. All he is concerned of is becoming a president. He can run his mouth all he wants and try to spin tha facts all he wants, but Gambians are watching.

I can assure him one thing, becoming a president in The Gambia would remained a mere dream to him. There are no fools around to play with.
Gambians are interested in a responsible, considerate, trustworthy,
leader with integrity.

SOLUTION: Do you know pipeline, Kanifing or Bansang? There are Darboe kundas in all these locations. If you are interested in confronting Darboe, go to one of these locations and open your foul mouth there. I bet you will regret why you were born in the first place.

We are not here to defend the personality of Darboe. He has an army to do that and that is his credentials and reputation in society. What is why we don't waste time on people like you? We engage people who try to distort facts as well as those who want to engage us in meaningful discussion. So don't beat your drums around us. Go and do it in the locations identified above. Ok

Thanks

I do not oppose unity but I oppose dumb union.

Kobo,

I will never abandon the UDP for NADD - said Darbo to BBC

My good brother, I hope you understand why some of us decided not to pursue the attempt re-unite the NADD parties at an early stage.

In every statement or action, one should be able to read between the lines and catch the hidden message or messages and this has been done by some of us since our friends started to speakout on public occasions.

The silence was the problem but from the first interview I read and the rally at serre kunda together with the interview conducted by the Gambia post, some of us consulted and made a swift decision while giving the chance for others to find out for themselves.

Anyway, the emencipation of the Gambian nation is based on the consciousness of it's people and not a coalition of political entities alone.

So they real struggle for self-emencipation is spearheaded by NADD and open to all progressive Gambians to support this movement or any other movement of their choice.

Justice will prevail.

SSDAFFEH,
I subscribe to solution's views and you need to show some tolerance. You sound intolerant and I wonder if you are better than Yaya. As a political leader and public figure, Darboe (and his supporters) should be ready to hear criticisms from all quarters of the Gambian communities without you guys losing your heads.

Cheer up, this is politics. I am sure you and Alagie Ousainou Darboe have uttered impolite words against Yaya. So this is politics!!!

"When the mighty Hamattan wind blows from the Great Sahara,it runs across the smiling coast. Those it found smiling, had their teeth coloured with dust thus that made many spat coloured sand from their mouths."
"But still most teeth are coloured like those chewing cola nut.
They don't know what to use to whitened their teeth again little did they know that only tolerance can perfectly clean up that dust like cholgate does to the teeth."

So Ladies and Gentlemen from this Great smiling coast,my advise to you all is ...Lets be more tolerant and give each others due for this comming election,Gambians everywhere should be praying for the Smiling Coast to smile all the time.

The out come of this election, the winner should know that He has won with Gambians' approval and should recognise the loosers as brothers who share the same vission...TAKING THE GAMBIA FORWARD!..
At the end of the day, those party win are brothers/sisters/sons/daughters/uncles/aunts ect to those parties lost.So the Gambia would always be there to accomodate all the happy and the sad without discrimination or intimidation. So the winner should follow Gambia's footstep and accomodate all her citizens without favour as all cannot support one person...

I am now in the Gambia and ready to vote and will heed to the wishes of the majority when ever the votes are counted. If my candidate [Hon Sallah]wins,so much the better as many with me want him to win.If on the other hand annother candidate wins, then the majority of Gambians don't think my candidate would serve their interest. So if my candidate loose,I would expect him to congradulate who ever wins and we move on from there as the Gambia would still be there.

Thats what democracy is all about

God bless the Gambia and her people

peace

A drowning man will hang on to a straw even though it cant save him. That is what is happening to the opposition these days. They sure know there are going to loose and unfortunately, they are busy attacking each other instead of canvassing for votes.

Just like the wollof say: BEYE DI NA MATA. This means a goat can bite especially when pushed against the wall.

BEWARE ANOTHER TYRANT AND POLITICAL TERRORISTS! Who are you, you don't look like a Gambian talking to a fellow bro? BIG BULLY! This is the same attitudes by supporters of Jammeh and APRC and NIA operations of silencing and victimising arbitarily. You are not fit as supporter of Darboe's ideology and promoter of regime change.

I care less about these Darboes Kundas you talking about. If you don't want to hear criticisms against Darboe then stay away from politics. Neither these Darboe Kundas nor Ousainou Darboe own The Gambia.Darboe is seeking to rule our nation. Unless you have him become the president of these Darboe kundas you talking about, conscious Gambians would continue to castigate his wrong doing.

Lets pray one day we can openly castigate each others' wrong doings on our own soil without any fear of intimidation or arrest. You see I think we are missing something here. Most of you shouting there are just making noice. You should be here putting your wishes to action.

What good does it have for NADD or UDP/NRP when you support them just by mouth and on the internet without casting your vote for them?

At the end of the day,no internet hyphaluting terminological campaign without votes would help any of these parties.Put into practice what you want for your country.
I know ofcause some of us are on political asylum and cannot come back but not every contributor on Bantaba or other webs are political asys?It should worth some pounds and Dollars to come home and vote!

Voice from the wilderness can't get your party of choice into State House.

I think it doesn't matter anymore who is right or wrong now. What matters is where do we go from here after three presidential aspirants are chosen. How do we weigh what they tell us so as to correctly choose who leads us for the next five hard year to come!

God bless the Gambia and Her people

peace

Likewise Jammeh, APRC and NIA is hard on their enemies. No room for ARC as ARC(H) 22 is already established as a monument and it takes 400 years more to be demolished. Whatever!
