2. News Update: UDP Leader Walks Home A Free Man
SPY AGENTS BLINK AND OFFER APOLOGY
Lawyer Ousainou Darboe of the United Democratic Party, the latest guest of the feared National Intelligence Agency in Banjul, walked home a free man, Kibaaro News has confirmed. Spy agents apologised to him for wasting his precious time.
Flanked by hundreds of his party faithfuls and legal team, Mr. Darboe majestically walked into the offices of the NIA Wednesday morning. The visit was a response to the summon he had earlier received.
Darboe spent less than an hour time with spy agents, providing answers to their flimsy questions. Spy agents asked Mr. Darboe about the computers the UDP had received from Americans, which was proven to be misleading and unfounded.
Throughout their interrogation, Mr. Darboe was never asked about the case of the detained UDP Treasurer. Accused of concocting asylum papers for one Malang Fatty, Amadou Sanneh remains in detention since his arrest a fortnight ago.
After their efforts to frame up the UDP leader had woefully failed, spy agents swallowed their pride and apologised for slowing down the busy lawyer. NIA agents had earlier tried to push back UDP loyalists from standing at the gate but without success.

1. UDP’s Ousainou Darboe questioned by NIA
The leader of the opposition United Democratic Party (UDP) was yesterday questioned by officers of the National Intelligence Agency at the agency’s headquarters in Banjul, The Point has learnt. Ousainou Darboe was at the NIA to answer to questions relating to false attestations purportedly written on UDP letterheads by senior members of the party.
Four persons including the National Treasurer of the UDP are currently in custody at the headquarters of the National Intelligence Agency in Banjul, over what the NIA described as a failed attempt to help a young man seek political asylum in Finland.
Amadou Sanneh, former Accountant General, who is the National Treasurer of the UDP, Bakary Baldeh, a commissioner of oaths, and one Alagie Sambou Fatty were arrested by the NIA based on the allegation that they wrote an attestation for one Malang Fatty, also arrested, using a UDP letterhead in order for him to seek asylum in Finland.
‘‘I was invited this morning (Wednesday) at the NIA and the officers questioned me about attestations written on UDP letterheads,’’ Darboe told The Point last night.
According to him, after a brief period at the NIA, he proceeded with the officers to the UDP bureau in Banjul, where a search was conducted to see if there were computers, which he said, were not found.
