Gambians have no powerful religoius leaders who influence politics like in Senegal. Gambians like things foreign. Most Gambians travel to Senegal, mali, Cassaamance, Bissau for religious prayers and their marabouts.

There is no strong bond between gambians and their marabouts. They prefer outside marabouts.
