This year there is further VERY IMPORTANT information about last year's program - as well as the dates for the program for this year:
DV 2013 Entrants (everyone who entered last year): Please keep your confirmation number until at least September 2013, even if you are not selected on May 1, 2012. The Department of State may select more DV 2013 entries on October 1, 2012.
DV 2014 Program: Online registration for the DV-2014 Program will begin on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4), and conclude on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 12:00 noon, Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) (GMT-4). Instructions for the DV 2014 Program are not yet available, so please check back later.
I HAVE HEARD, in the past, that if you don't win one year, continue to enter - and eventually you will win!
As long as this program lasts - it is a great opportunity - since this is a free program - except for the costs of the photos and whatever you pay a LEGITIMATE organization (with no promises; just payment for labor and online time) to file for you (OR you file for yourself) -
THE ONLY REQUIREMENTS -- THAT YOU BE AT LEAST 18 years of age - and with at least THREE YEARS WORK EXPERIENCE or a high school graduate.
YOU CAN FILE FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD WITH INTERNET ACCESS - and IF you are not legal someplace - make SURE you use a very reliable address in your home country!
