Still around?

So many of us are now silent. This is the thread just to say you are still there -

People are silent for many different reasons I guess. Hope everything is allright with you Lilly. Have you been visiting the Gambia and all your friends? I myself have not been there for three years now but make calls now and then.

Hi Kiwi

I am off in a couple of weeks. Looking forward to it. Still keep close contact with my friends/families there. Though life is not always easy.

Hope all ok with you.

Hi Lily, we were there all Jan & Feb. Water more of a problem than the electricity, at least you know when it will be your turn for electric if u r lucky enough to be connected. Read bantaba daily, safe journey to you. You do not have to pay the £20 on returning home now.
Regards, sab.

The 20 EURO is still being paid but included in the ticket. By the way, is it £20, 20 Dalasi or 20 EURO?

I still read things on here, but don't often contribute. I've not been to Gambia for several years now, so don't feel I have so much to say.

I still hope to go back one day, but life takes different twists and turns. My daughter has just got married to an Indian man and his family are keen for us to visit there regularly.

My heart still belongs to The Gambia though.
