No one appeared before this commission for 10 days ? Surprising

Most probably its a witch hunt on certain individuals and businesses and they have achived that and are not interested in the rest.

You are probably right, anyway some progress is better than no progress ,it would have been very good if those businesses that are well known for not paying their due taxes were to appear, never mind, everything is a matter of negotiation in the end and the end SOMETIMES justifies the means

"Sanyang however disclosed that he cannot specifically explain certain things about certain issues, adding that the information were provided through his technicians."

In simple language could this be what he said ?

Nothing to do with me I am only the boss blame someone else,I don't know.

"When asked by the Commission’s chair about the whereabouts of her boss, she replied that the he was out of the jurisdiction, but is expected back next week."

OK ,look forward to what the boss has to say when he returns "next week".

"Mr. Njie finally testified that he cannot remember selling compounds without paying capital gains tax because it’s been a long time now."

Just pay up ,Mr. Njie ,and stop wasting peoples time ! such a lame excuse is laughable.
However I do wonder if there as any WRITTEN record at all of payment or non payment of any capital gains tax to the department responsible,if there is a WRITTEN record of capital gains tax payments for the date in question then that should be produced by the government department responsible to show that NO PAYMENT has been made, very simple.
