"Mansea Beach Hotel Buba Drammeh said he became the manager of Mansea Beach Hotel on the 1st November 2011, having been part of the management since 1997. Drammeh informed that the hotel is presently owned by some Nigerians, adding that the hotel is in financial crisis. He admitted that the said hotel has not fully met its tax obligations and produced some receipts of payment for sales tax from the period 2005 to 2008.
Drammeh revealed that when he went through the office file, he realised that the hotel owes the government about D1, 890, 758.00. He noted that as the manager, the management intends to deflate the said amount owed to the government either by selling or leasing the hotel. When asked whether he was aware of the penalty imposed on tax defaulters, Drammeh replied in the affirmative and explained that the hotel directors had assured him of getting a potential buyer." |

Importers, others appear before Tax Commission: Radwane Yazback, the managing director of Batimat Company Ltd,
"He said the said summon was served on one of the staff who forgot to give it to him." What a lame explanation, do you believe this statement ? is it the truth? are this man's other dealings true ?

I think that IF the companies that you mention are going to appear they will do so at the end of the commission hearings, but I suspect that they will not appear because they will have sufficient time to regularise their tax affairs before they are likely to be called, therefore there will be no need to call them. As regards the logos,MAYBE the thinking is alongside that of the British monarchy in the past,
http://www.royal.gov.uk/MonarchUK/Symbols/Royalwarrants.aspx
where some vehicles have the royal coat of arms emblazoned on them ,Gambia is not a monarchy it is a republic with a president, but maybe the contents in the following link COULD be applied, bearing in mind that the president does not have a coat of arms (that I know of ) a logo COULD serve the same purpose as a coat of arms.

Gambia is not alone in having people who owe the tax authorities a good deal of money : (Big Scottish football club)
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rangers-fc-takes-step-administration-153225539.html
"Rangers are involved in two separate disputes with HM Revenue and Customs - and face a tax bill of £49m. A legal case against it centres around the use of employee benefits trusts (EBTs) which were in place before Mr Whyte took over at Ibrox. The verdict of the tax tribunal case was understood to be imminent."
