http://dailynews.gm/africa/gambia/article/retired-alkalos-brother-and-son-fighting-over-authority

I cannot imagine how comes now a days people don't know who controls what in the Gambia. One man empowered by the Governor and father helped by the council while the brother of the retired Alkalo claims to have bee appointed by the president. What a confusion.Have the Governor and Area Council not been in contact with oga or has oga even consulted the people on the ground before imposing any Alkalo on them? chei Gambia

TYPICAL "BAD BLOOD" OF GAMBIAN POLITICS AND POWER STRUGGLES; FAMILIES BEING RIPPED APART HOWEVER AMADOU DEMBA OFFICIALLY LOST AUTHORITY WITH THIS TERMINATION FROM DAILY NEWS;

"However, Amadou Demba is arguing there are differences between his termination letter and the appointment letter of Ba-Jerreh Demba.

He said his termination letter has an official letterhead, but Ba-Jerreh’s appointment letter does not have any."

Kobo,
You have a valid point there but the facts on the ground speak for it self that is the total portalis of the Jammeh administration. How comes the divisional authorities directives conflict with that of the thief of state? That shows no one know who controls and all are just figure heads only one person has absolute authority.
How can families fight over who head who? Am sure money is the root of it all Land selling otherwise just collecting taxes can not lead a once happy united family drift apart just by the appointment of on for something just doing the government bidding.
In my village we have two alkalolus and they respect each other so well. One is government while the elder is the village traditional alkalo who is always consulted by the younger government alkalo and they are brothers. Why can't these people do the same rather than bring division which might even divide their chilfdren even further apart? Gammbia is going to brinks of total chaos by one devil Yahya jammeh.

Oga should get his nose out of these kind of issues and leave it to tradition or popular vote to determine alkaloships and sefuya

TOO MUCH MEDDLING FROM Oga and it isn't working.

Thanks

I do not oppose unity but I oppose dumb union.

Nyari,
The oga would feed you to his BAMBOOLU(Crocodiles) if you try ever advocate such move.
Don't you know he uses such confussions and divisions so that it benefits him and only him alone?
This head thief is the greatest master at such and thas why the likes of Pap Cheyasin Secka and Fafa Mbye who helped him removed the franchisation of chiefs and Alkalolus should be thinking now what they have put all Ga,bians through when they did what they did for a real serial killer called prostitute.x

Bro Karamba,
What else explains the type of infighting we see in the Gambia about everything and nothing?
Can we just reflect aback a bit about Oustas Ba Kausu and the fring fring council?
The president was quite about the whole thing but he was behind the thing pushing things. If not who prevented Kausu from performing friday prayers at his mosque and where ndid the fring fring council get such powers from?
After all the fool tried to come out of the dark as if he is the uniter with those fools at the supreme unislamic council.
All the differences are caused by one Gambia's own Iblis(satan) Yahya Jammeh.

Ba Jarreh was said to have rushed to state House when this feud was ongoing accompanied by his girl friend Ndey Jatta to see the president with the promise of three plots of land for Ndey Jatta if he Jerreh should see the president. At state house, Jerreh confirmed to the president that his brother was not as committed to the Jammeh as he is and if appointed, he would make sure he reports any opposition in the village.
I belief that statement landed him the post.
Chei Gambia!
