This morning, while watching past GRTS programs on RaakiTV, I had to reach for the remote control twice to turn down the volume on my computer, because it was like watching a shouting match between the two Guests of the program.

This yelling was accompanied by over the top wild gestures. On few occassions, I witnessed a slammed fist on the table, a pound hit on the chest with the attached microphone making it sound very thunderous, the swinging of hands in the air.

It got to the point where it became embarrassing to watch.

The same noise comes out whenever I visit the freedom website... where the supposedly educated regularly opine, it is not uncommon to feel how these guys shout and pound fist with saliva shooting like bullets hitting their mouthpieces.

Even on our Bantaba here, it is not unusual to see people typing the same thing regularly in different text sizes and all sorts of colors...while bring in no new opinion. One won't be surprise to find out that when these guys speak, their neck veins and muscles would appear to be about-to-burst out.

Where did this aggressive vocal behavior of unnecessarily shouting instead of speaking comes from? It wasn't like this before. I grew up listening to soft-spoken elders, like Jawara, Darboe, grandparents and several elders... they did not just speak eloquently, but they also had a very good and understandable accent. these elders are very mild and non-aggressive. Is it from years of military aggression?

Do you know? because I don't.

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.
