Family granted residency in country of children’s birth

DEPORTED AFRICAN fathers could be reunited with their children born in the European Union, following a landmark European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruling last week.

It went on to state it was also a breach of EU law to refuse to grant “a work permit to that third country national, in so far as such decisions deprive those children of the genuine enjoyment of the substance of the rights attaching to the status of (a) European Union citizen.”
