| Yeah well I read that piece and it makes sense in as much it begs the need to join hands.A fractured opposition is a weak one and if they join hands they together can face the hurdle. It would be difficult for the imcumbent government to score better against this force then it would against a disorganised attack ;i mean at a general election. They are soldiers and if you think a haphazzard move will succeed you have a big think coming bro Ousainou.Think again the picture is bigger than you want to put it.yes you did talk about about saloum and kombo east scenarios. One would have thought the latter result is a better scanner of what lies ahead and it indeed indicated to all and sundry that the opposition did get more votes in kombo east but those votes were catastrophically wasted. We do not want any collateral vote wastage as they would only help the incumbent.Stop being stubborn and digging your heels up in the sand pit, it will derail the process. We have given you credit for being there and fighting against injustice and stood up as opponent to the regime when it was really hot.But you were not alone others join you and am sure some them too would feel that they could be in your position but and I emphasize here but they gave way for you to lead. Please accept this as true .Now that we have come to this crossroad, we want you ousainou to think again which road will you take . As for NADD/and supporters do not make it difficult for the process of reconcialtion difficult by throwing thorns on the path.It will only make them UDP?NRP chose another path.BULLEN WENGAL GAALGUI Please let reason prevail I beg you all |

"A leader must neither be exessive for power nor arrogant. A leader must be chosen, and not self appointing or imposing. Since the union is to give each a vote and a veto, then it is strictly advisable for each of the parties to rely on this in passing their wish before the union, rather than terror through self imposing-hiding under the tentacles of majority and 'terri-kafo' lineage."
Thanks Dalton.
What we need to avoid is to be mis-guided and the process of national transformation derailed and reduces to a leadership tossle.
From the begining, some have always been intrested in leadership and stii refuse to adress the cardinal question of Gambians emancipating themselves through the subscription to the national, just and democratic program lead by selfless and dedicated daughters and sons of our beloved country.
We need to be vigilant, because like them, we can end up dicussing leadership and nothing but.
This why I always try to emphasize the NADD MOU in all of my writtings as a guide factor in my comments.
Keep up the good work. |

Kaaniba, kaanibou saff-saff, i heard u and understand where u are coming from, and kobo is right in our usage of language, esp. with the terri-kafo mentioning. Lets pray for negotiations to be fruitful.Sometimes the methods to burry differences and bring unity requires "naghanteh"-and not necesarrily the whole truth-and i do agree, before it get to a level where talks cannot be tabled.Let each of them extend a handsake out.
Uncle Biraago, thanks for timely pieces, and i hope both Nadd & Udp/Nrp are reading you with a open mind. We are running out of time, and this talk process need some stimulants to exepedite the whole process. Everything currently happening is at the advantage of the opposition, so they better utilize it fully.
Long live the union ! |

| Hamat Bah leader of NRP also a key player with high stakes and offers for promotion of a proper alliance. Just wondering what can motivate him to mobilise his supporters to rally and support NADDs alliance. Any priviledges to offer him as he appears to be on the lossing side when it comes to NADDs flag bearer and runner up? What suitable position would bring him to consider serious business with NADD? Can anyone help? |
