I read with deep concern the list informers published allegedly by Pa Nderry Mbye on the Daily observer. Its difficult to authenticate the individuals listed as to what if any informatation they may have supplied to Pa Nderry but what is more worrying is their safety and well being knowing the capabilities of the individuals that surrounds Jammeh.

I find it hard to believe that an individual like Pa Nderry can switch allegience overnight and expose his collegues in the most selfish and destructive manner.

It makes me wonder who will be next to follow Nderry in committing moral crimes against fellow countrymen and wish to advised collegues to be mindful about revealing their personal details on internet forums.

Personally its difficult to be optimistic to the persons involve particularly thoes in Gambia, I'm very worried of their safety, clearly most of them will loose their jobs and livelihood. Its beyond my comprehension eventhough I have always viewed Pa Nderry as a desperated person who use desperate measures.

Its has just come to my attention that freedom news paper was hacked into and details of registered users accessed, not as stated in Daily Observer. Its indeed a serious matter not to have serious security in place before collecting individuals details, however since the individuals reside in UK they can be prosecuted under the Data Protection Act. This would only the possible if the servers on which the data is stored are in UK not off shore.

somita, i did not think they could be prosecuted. Who would press charges. I do not think it would go to court, but I would fear for their families back in Gambia. My prayers are for them. It is one thing to have an email given out, but to have your name and address as well. Dangerous times.

It is the same dangerous times Gambians have been living with for the past 11 years. It is time we all share the same risk with our fellow brothers and sisters.
No amount of intimidation can stop us from fighting for our country and love ones. It is time we put aside party politics and be true citizens. Whatever means we have, we can use it to fight for what is right. True citizens are not afraid to sacrifice their lives for the future of our country.

I call on all Gambians to increase the pressure and expose anybody operating against the interest of our country. Yahya Jammeh and his observer editors will one day be accountable to what they are doing. Keep up the pressure brothers and sisters. We are witnessing the last chapter of Jammeh and his brutal regime. Time shall tell who is who.
Peace

What is the evidence that they are informers? If someone breaches the security system of this forum and reveals our names and identities, would we be labelled as informers?

Every Gambian has a right to criticise the government because they are employed by us. Jammeh should not be paranoid about criticism but should take it positively. People registered on the chatroom of the site and their names are publised as informers.

I cannot see any crime in registering on a chat room. There is nothing illegal about the freedomnewspaper. There are people being unlawfully detained others being killed and the rest disappearing without the Observer asking a question.

How many innocent people are languishing in jail for years without any form of justice on their way? Far too many. Those are more inportant issues than publishing peoples' names and lying about their activities.

Why can,t pa Ndry challenge the daily observer that he has not contacted them and infact they are lying if they said they got the information from him(Mbye)? He could do it through the POINT or BBC and even Voice of America?
He cannot just write on a freedom newspaper that he has not informed any one.Pa Ndery knows better what this government is capable of doing."A word for the wise!"

As for Ebou Jallow(Thief),"Guujo, sar keh, suu ngo" who has no place in any civilised society, who is not even ashamed that he had deprived his cousins, nephews, brothers, sisters, mothers fathers ....you name it of millions of our morney and still can't even have the slightest remorse.Whether Jammeh prosecutes you or not,I swear to God Almighty, Mr. Jallow, one day you shall be brought to book. You coward( Beautiful Gambia.[The smilling Coast],don't deserve You,Jammeh and all your cronnies .

I am really sorry member! but Ebou does sometimes gets to my nerves.Though I don't hate him,but I really hate what he did to us and still he gets the guts to talk.

Thank you brother kobo/chaalo,
I have really read this but many Gambians Have not I know Pa personally and "Ndoke" is dammed good and I have high admirations for him.I just feel if he goes on air to show to the world that the daily observer have gone from their journalistic dogmas to becoming the tool of its owner[Yaya Jammeh].I know why he used that once hard working now corrupted Amadou Samba to pose as owner.I think Pa needs to do that for many people that had trusted his web to join. There is no law in the Gambia today Kobo.Only Jammeh justice. No joke.

They might be frustrated and panicked by the political awareness of Gambians through the cyberspace. They are surprised to see informed Gambians using the net for good flow of communication, information and education and by the way they are dealing with pertinent political issues through such fora for e.g freedom newspaper and others.

Remember Jammeh is super rich to hire marcenaries and foreign based terrorists. Don't you agree that he is a millionaire and can sponsor them to consolidate himself in power at all costs? He made that declaration already.
