I think my number one is your number two. I love shaved, afro, dread or braid (no extension please). They don't realize how awful the fake hair look and they don't realize how exotic they got with natural hair. |

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

someone should tell us the troubles our watchman is having with African women during these cold winter days ... He earlier on posted an 80s stand-up comedy and now, this...
Sadly, I am almost force to admit that most of your observations are right on.
Most of these traits are actually common to most sub-Saharan African women.
You forgot to mention skin bleaching, which coupled with their rainbow-like-makeup, turns every African "ceremony" into a Halloween party.
BTW, their fitting-in struggles are worthy of reality TV shows.... for example, i can clearly remember my uncle struggling to convince his fresh off the boat "semester's wife" that the blender works as well as the mortar and pestle.
I have to call you out on the cooking bit though... STOP whining about food . How about YOU signing-up for a cookery class at your local community college? That may offset or even compliment the greasy foods they cook!
Now, tell us about Gambian men... specifically, the cats who keep acting akata. |

God dang Prince! You are killing me ! Yeah, I whine a lot about food. I tried to follow online recipes for some Gambian dishes but it ended in "disaster".
Turk, the hair issue is very important and should have been number one and no I am not sleeping on the couch
Gambian men do have issues and one could easily make a top 20 or 50 list one hates about them. Hopefully, this opens frank, open dialogue between the 2 sexes for the better. |
