Justice Ebrima Jaiteh of the High Court in Banjul has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of one Alasan Ceesay, a staff of ECOBANK Gambia Limited.
According to court documents, Alasan Ceesay and one Amadou Saine were alleged to have conspired to steal the sum of D2, 552, 692.82 from the said Bank between 2017 and 2018. Amadou Saine was arrested and remanded at the Mile II Central Prisons but according to the court, Ceesay has not been found and has not reported himself to the police or the court.
Meanwhile, a bail application has been filed on behalf of Amadou Saine which is yet to be determined.
Would justice be served if Amadou Saine was bailed
