I read this piece by Jamal Drammeh,accurate probably, but filled with far far too many complicated words for the average person to understand if you happen to be a university graduate no problem but for the vast population of Gambia who are not that lucky to have had a very good education its totally not understandable.
If http://fatunetwork.net/ wishes to be taken seriously by Gambians ,(and the world for that matter)then it must ask its "contributors" to write in PLAIN ENGLISH without the use of words understood only by those ruled by writing in academic language.
An example of what I am writing about is this:
"Even where we fall short, at every moment of the vicissitudes of life, we shall still communicate our whole ‘meat and bones’, and not the ‘shell’. So yes, I will write to these subjects as if it they are the breath in my lungs. Speaking against these dark elements in our social discourse like an Emmanuel Swedenborg, I shall – though I claim not his illumination or the wisdom illuminate."
