The letter, signed by the chairman of the Association, Mohammed Kalajula stated: “The management of WAD has observed with dismay that Mawdo Jatta and Batuwo Saidy, the secretary general and the treasurer refused to adhere to the rules and regulations of the Kafo on the following: that you have mismanaged the Kafo’s fund, amounting to a tune of D5M (five million dalasis) and efforts have been made to recover the said money from you but to no avail. You were not transparent to the executive members about the buying and selling of groundnut paste to the general public, which the Kafo lost interest and you are hereby instructed to surrender all the materials belonging to the Kafo as soon as possible. In the light of the above fact, management is left with no option but to expel you from the Kafo with immediate effect.”
This reporter contacted the chairman of the Association who confirmed the expulsion of the said executive members, saying, “the decision was agreed by all the members of the organisation”.
