Did you know that Gambia shares a teleteoxt page with Kenya. You can get holiday information on teletext holidays p293 for the upcoming season 2010-11 season.

| Thanks Sister,I would suggest that those who are going to The Gambia next year from the UK book up as soon as they can because in Jan 2011 VAT is going to be 20% and there are strong unsubtantiated rumors that Air Passenger Duty is also going to be increased.All this is due to the large hole caused by the greed of the banks and subsequent financial mess the cost of which has to be has to be paid back,its quite interesting to think that its our money (ie the taxpayers )that we are paying back to the tresuary as I don't think we (UK) took any commercial loans,correct me if I am wrong,as you all know I am not an expert on anything. |

hi there,
thanks for the tip, i will check it out. i have ony ever managed to get cheap holidays to gambia 4 times, other than that i have paid far too much for what I have received, (compared to other destinations). if the UK government play silly games with travel tax, people will have to think really carefully where and when they go on holiday. any increase before I go means less spent at the point of destination 
Anyway would like to go before christmas, fingers crossed. |
